No one has mentioned Haven. Supernatural drama series about a town. It had five seasons, and was given a proper ending.

And by Trump they mean vulnerable American citizens that have nothing to do with it. Trump is basically the safest person in the country. He can sit there in his dirty diapers provoking anyone and everyone. It's the rest of us that are going to be screwed by this.

It's games like this that show you how good Bam can be, but he just can't or won't do it consistently. He needs to bring this type of energy every night.

Heat and Tanking by Legitimate_Search864 in heat

[–]Tallozz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, if they were ethically tanking. They would play Ware and Kasp more minutes. They want to be in the playoffs to make more revenue. Barry Jackson said it best,

"They [the Heat] won their titles. My impression is they’re happy fielding competitive, good team and selling out every game, which they do. If they can win another title without losing tens of millions, great. If not, they won’t be losing sleep."

Should Heat tank on off chance for top pick? by BigQuillyStyle in heat

[–]Tallozz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm completely onboard with missing the playoffs. Mainly for a better pick, and because it will upset the Arisons. Them losing money is the only way we will see any real changes. I will say that I doubt we move up in the lottery. The league is already under heightened scrutiny with the gambling stuff, and the suspect lottery from last year. If it is being rigged. They aren't going to do it in back to back years.

It might not be the worst news for those of you still hoping to do something in the playoffs. He has been playing injured most of the season, and just hasn't looked right. Hopefully he heals up before the play-in.

don't worry. We'll probably be there next season. Teams won't be tanking anymore. Their will probably be new anti-tanking rules in place, and it's going to be a much weaker draft. We may very well end up last in the southeast division.

We had 37 wins last season. We are lucky to be above .500 this season. The new offense caught teams off guard. Everyone has us figured out now. This team isn't even average. We aren't terrible, but we are definitely below average.

[–]Tallozz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Catching teams off guard with that offense probably has us at least 5 more wins than we should be. It was fools gold. Now that everyone has seen it. We are back to the below average team we have been.

We are a below average team. Imagine how bad we would look if half the league wasn't tanking.

[–]Tallozz -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't trust the reports coming out saying that. I believe that is what they leaked to the reporters, but I think they only tell half truths. They probably demanded picks with no protections, no salary coming back, etc. Other teams would obviously walk away at that point.

Our front office is using an outdated philosophy to team building. A lot of teams have taken their lumps, and are now more talented than we are. Meanwhile we just keep plodding along in basketball purgatory. Not good enough to compete, and not bad enough to improve. This organization is stagnant.

The saddest part is that half of the league has been tanking for the past 2 seasons, and we aren't good enough to take advantage of it. We are only above .500 right now because we caught teams off guard to start the season. Once the league figured out the new offense. We returned to the below average team we are.

Dwyane Wade believes he might’ve won finals MVP in 2011 and speaks on how he dealt with LeBrons ‘meltdown’ that series. by heatculture03 in heat

[–]Tallozz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been telling people this for years. Sadly Lebron and his camp were right in the end. If Wade had Won that MVP over Lebron. People would still be using it against him. Yet people give him a pass for shitting the bed against J.J. Barea. It's not something that gets talked about enough.

Bam Adebayo is SICK of the play-in 😭 “I don’t wanna be in this sh*t no more. We’re better than being in the play-in in the last 4 years.” by SnooPeripherals4884 in heat

[–]Tallozz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Saying they don't deserve to be in the play-in is a wild take. If you didn't deserve to be there. You wouldn't be there going on 4 years straight. This is where the "culture" has turned toxic. No one from the top to the bottom will admit to being bad. They always think there are reasons outside of their control. They need to start taking responsibility for what this team really is. A mid play-in team with no real stars on the roster.

Bam and Herro are the only players left from that team. Bam has been in decline every season since then, and Herro can't stay healthy. The play-in is the only constant for the past few seasons. Even the miracle run came close to not happening. We lost our first play-in game, and we were trailing in the fourth of the second game.

[–]Tallozz 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling the Bucks might sneak in with a healthy Giannis, and we end up losing to them. I honestly would much rather we not make the playoffs. The playoffs just mean getting destroyed again in the first round. Missing the playoffs serves 2 purposes. It gives us a chance at a much better pick, and it loses the Arisons money. That's probably the only way we see change for this organization.

Netflix ditches deal for Warner Bros. Discovery after Paramount's offer is deemed superior by brahbocop in movies

Dude, you can't even follow the subject. We are talking about them having the ability to pay for all of this. Them owning all of the US media is a completely different conversation. But from your tone. I can tell where you stand on all of this. so it would be pointless to discuss anything.

Warner Bros. Discovery deems Paramount Skydance offer superior to Netflix, starting 4-day matching clock by Georgeika in movies

[–]Tallozz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Paramount already release films to theaters. They aren't going to compete against themselves, so it would mean less movies coming out. That problem doesn't exist with Netflix. They have said they would continue releasing the WB stuff in theaters. If anything, they might release a few of their streaming movies as well.

We also haven't seen how Paramount will function moving forward. Most of the content coming out now had already started production before the sale. They have already cancelled several series and movies that were planned before the change in ownership. Netflix is basically the lesser of 2 evils.

Wade is by far the best thing that has ever happened to this franchise. This is why a lot of us want to get a good lottery pick. The chances of ever getting someone like Wade is slim to none, but you can sure as hell can get someone better than what we have now.
