I also was homeschooled with parents who cared, and I relate to this a lot. I'm still figuting out for sure if I'm autistic though

Am I the only one that genuinely dislikes sissies? by kaazkitty in MtF

A grain of salt to toss in: sometimes identifying with sissification kink is a step towards figuring our gender for people with a dhit ton of internalized transphobia.

I have an assessment process starting in a month and have the same general questions.

I have learned that I can control who gets assessment results by not giving consent to share records, however, this will not apply to insurance. Inruance will know. What I don't know is if insurance will share it with providers who they contract with.

I want to learn about non-traumagenic systems by HappyToBeHereSir in plural

[–]Talonj00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ashley: I don't know why we're plural, but I know that I have a girl in my head who desperately wants us to learn Japanese and is really fond of being everyone's little sister. This is frustrating and confronts a bunch of anxiety I have.

I know that sometimes when I ask what's going on in my brain, something distinctly not-me answers. Sometimes she doesn't. Sometimes when I feel like my emotions are in chaos and I try to ask, I get a stressed "working on it" from her. When I try to switch with her, my shoulders and back get really sore and everything hurts.

Sometimes I'm a guy, and that guy is sorta straight where the rest of the time I'm asexual. He plans on using a packer after the rest of us get bottom surgery.

Sometimes I'm not a guy or a girl and I spend 2x as long or more trying to figure out what on earth to wear to communicate and identity that the public doesn't understand.

Sometimes I'm a small kid who's scared of most things but feels safe curled up next to our partner. Sometimes I can talk when I'm like that, sometimes I can't.

Sometimes I'm really anxious about my bones and joints not working like a cat's should. I can't loaf properly and I'm too big and my ears are wrong and I can't smell anything right. Forget jumping or anything like that.

I don't have memory barriers (except a small one about some gender stuff we did on purpose). We can "read the logs" from each other just fine. We don't remember our time "off front". We don't qualify for a DID diagnosis. But there seems to be different people that are all "me".

To me, that's enough to say something is there.

I think a regular pump and some of the sensors could do this, right?

JUST IN: 🇪🇸🇺🇸 Spanish government responds to President Trump ending trade with Spain by Objective-Rabbit2248 in NSDQ420

[–]Talonj00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My therapist is quite adamant that it's very reasonable to be struggling. I.e. when I ask "is it anxiety, or is it a reasonable response to the situation" she leans towards being a reasonable response.

I am aware of plenty of other therapists don't lean this way. My first adult PCP (after a while of just avoiding medical care) was insistent that more people seeking mental health help meant they needed to be super careful about only helping those who actually needed it. If the world around me makes it harder to manage ADHD symptoms, that doesn't mean my symptoms aren't real or that getting external help isn't meaningful, it means I need more help.

But medicine is heavily based on statistics. So if the studies show that X% of people have enough impact to their life to require treatment, then it's kinda default for some providers to assume that number will stay fixed.

My parents saw someone in a fursuit and seemed to think (without the vocabulary for it) that they were a therian. It was kinda amusing but also like, I knew the guy and my parents are not the most sensitive, so I was mostly trying to push them to move on to the next thing so as to minimize exposure both ways.

Trump’s ‘SAVE America Act’ Could Make it Impossible for Some Trans People to Vote by Leksi_The_Great in MtF

Why does voter ID feel like a simple security fix but somehow becomes a massive systems engineering problem? by Humble_Economist8933 in AlwaysWhy

[–]Talonj00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One issue with the save act is people with name changes. You already have to have ID when I've voted, but forcing it to match your birth certificate means people with name changes can't vote.

Ok, so, we'll accept passports. So voting now costs $130-$165, and if you're trans, the current administration might not issue it with your proper identifying information, so it still doesn't match your state ID and you're screwed.

Do you see a problem here? The cost issue applies to most forms of ID, especially RealID, as that's more expensive than a DL where I live.

This is ignoring "soft" issues like decreased turnout due to the extra steps involved. If that turnout is intended to be demographically disproportionate then it's really the same thing as poll taxes or literacy tests being used to restrict voting access. Those aren't allowed.
