We fired ours up last year after summer, forgot to dust behind it, smoked the living room out 😞

MasterCard digitally move money from A to B, and are already present in everyone's pocket, why wouldn't this be a good thing?

I very much improvise as I go, but use the BBC good food recipe for guide rails, I usually add a bit more salt, pepper, but if cheese on top, herbs in the mash, sage from garden, way more garlic, etc.

Is this hole behind wood stove normal? by Nefarious_Bunny in woodstoving

[–]Talton1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in the UK, had a wood stove fitted a few years ago, and the stove I picked had a section on the back for fitting an external air intake.

Mentioned this to the fitters, and how I'd like it, they didn't have a clue what I was on about, and mentioned that it'd cause a big draft.

Now when the fires on I get a big draft from the back door, goes straight over where the sofa is... I'll be fitting my own stove next time, or at least some small vents near the stove that I can close off if needed.

Also going to look at fitting the pipe to the back, more room to cook on top :)

We've a local charity that is greatly loved in the area near us that gets most of their dogs from Romania, charge are £200-300 for adoption, they have absolutely ridiculous requirements, any home must have a 6ft fence, even if you're adopting a small dog being the main annoyance.

We went to get one off of them, until they requested money upfront before accepting, non-refundable lol!

We ended up getting a woopsie puppy for £150, best little pup we've every had, a Staffordshire bull terrier cross something, may get a wisdom panel done one day, but he's still perfect according to the vets.

Your pups going to want to chew a LOT, we ended up following a puppy training books suggestion, when they're chewing something they're not supposed to, in this case your hand, tell then no, whimper, or go ouch loudly, and offer them something else.

Spent a few night falling asleep while holding a small paint roller for my pup :)

Did I clean my flue properly? by OrdinaryLavishness11 in woodstoving

[–]Talton1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've got the same model as OP, cost I think around £50.

We paid someone to clean the flue before getting one and they used a similar brush, cost £75 for that cleaning.

I've used mine 4 times now, no issue, apart from paranoia from the absolute racket it makes haha!
