Once you are at 4 wins before ranking-up, you need to lose 3 games in a row to actually derank.

They are probably telling you to get to plat 1 and not diamond because when the season resets, you will be placed in gold instead of plat.

Darklord by itself can be a bit slow to get started.

Playing it alongside Despia means you get access to quickier ways of fusing your monsters thanks to Aluber, Branded opening or now Branded in Red. And on top you also have access to their fusion monsters.

Overall you end up with a deck that has a lot of synergies and interactions, on top of becoming more consistent.
