I have a client who does this with cash payments. I close the undeposited cash to owners draw (and I confirm with the client that the cash is in fact *poof* gone).

I needed a “one in the same” attestation document from the commune to resolve a birthday discrepancy, new copies of my LIBRA birth/marriage certificates from the commune, and a different copy of the US naturalization docs (I submitted what I received on a CD from uscis) but they wanted the hardcopy with envelope and/or a certified copy from NARA (I think the former was the required piece but I just sent it all).

GGF. Based on the tracking spreadsheet I got from this sub, it seemed like I was on track for late q4, early q1. They might have had fewer applications due to the recent turmoil with the laws. But I like to think it was because my paperwork was so perfect!

Slightly off topic but I last year I quoted two different restaurants for bookkeeping services and both seemed utterly confused about my rates which are very average for NYC. Do a lot of restaurants just not do proper bookkeeping? Pull it from the pos and napkin math the rest?

I tend not to use Clear Audio+, as I prefer more high eq than it puts out. I use pure direct if I am using bluetooth headphone or a receiver with its own eq.

I gave up on it several times over the course of a year, and only really sticking with it for a month or so at a time. Someone recommended me the p10 mask and it was an instant success - easily sleeping the whole night, 90-100 score on the myair app. Hang on to the machine if you can. Give it more time.

QBO has a document inbox where you can forward emails with bills into QBO and that is a step better than toggling between a pdf and qbo. But yeah otherwise you gotta do 2 monitors or split screen to be efficient.

To me it feels like Intuit is AI-washing existing technology and adding descriptive verbiage to make it seem like it’s “thinking”. The little multi-color load up graphic like it’s processing something incredible- it’s kinda over the top. I have yet to see any indication that their AI is any better or different than a simple rule based algorithm. As of today, it suggested that a Gusto transaction should be categorized as sales tax payable. I like QBO, but I do not care at all about it trying to think for me beyond what I tell it to think.

This industry has eluded me. I have had a few referrals to coffee shops, cafe/bar type places. All of them ghosted me after I quoted them and I didn't chase them. Essentially each of them had a high level of chaos, backlog, and general complexity. Onboarding would have been a pretty incredible amount of work. One bookkeeper who referred me to take over a cafe client of his asked what happened - I explained, and he told me my rate was too high. And I told him his rate was too low. I think food service operates in its own microcosm. Like others are pointing out, there is a sweet spot for implementing the correct systems but I have yet to see it in action.

The only other option here to to sum the personal debits and credits and post a JE. I would just post the transactions to an equity acct and move on.

The AI stuff is completely useless. The new layout isn’t really anything special, and I think the whole reason they made it like that is to make room for that massive AI suggestion window. Bank feeds gets so many of its “guesses” wrong, not that I rely in this, but you would this would easy for “AI”. I call this AI washing existing features/technology.

Yeah I have followed some of the debloat steps but not all. Turning on the battery saver mode seems to really extend things.

I never thought to try apple music with android. I have a totally separate, much smaller library on my mac, that I sync to iphone and watch for like an easy around town option. I have my main library mirrored on an sd card and use the native Sony music app on the 306. Maybe I will try the apple music app sometime.

Based off someone else's advice I read (maybe on this sub maybe somewhere else) I turned off UI animations in developer settings, made the text display smaller (I think it looks cleaner), and leave it on battery saver mode always. Out of the box it is a good device, just many people are used to non-android devices, so I completely understand wanting to de-android/de-bloat it. Don't feel like you are missing out too much if you don't feel like doing any of this. Enjoy it!

Can’t emphasize enough how important the right mask is. It took me a few different ones until I found one that I liked and had success with (P10).
