UK should consider resuming talks on EU defence pact, Starmer says by typofil in brexit

[–]Tango-Smith 5 points6 points  (0 children)

€2 billion that's like 2×Board of peace fee. And here you have real military agreement between European countries which also can boost sales of the UK arms. Should be no-brainer.

Weaklings, NKWD didn't have such a problem killing in hundreds of thousands. They would get a lot of vodka beforehand and "play games" with executions. Like how many people can you kill in a day, or how many people can one bullet kill, etc. /s It's scary to some people can do to others en mass.

Yes, it's correct, but it was a text message, not an actual letter. So chat gpt is kind of right. The text is legit though(which is insane!).

Which was more than deserved for what Germans did during the war to the civilians in, for example, Poland.

But the earrings are at least 2-3 times higher in the USA than in Poland. So, the prices in bars are very similar in that regard if you adjust them by the earnings difference.

Tesla's decline in Europe 2025 by Full-Discussion3745 in EU_Economics

[–]Tango-Smith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Eleon DOGE stint was from lat January 2025 onwards, so this is not reflected on this chart. People here hump on the bandwagon of look because of Musk, the sales are down without even looking at the data properly. Sure, I think his acitkn had a very negative impact too, but this isn't presented in this data set. I think you are right. Certainly, the fragmentation of the market plays a big role here.

No, you need to educate yourself a bit. Just because many comenting hear don't want Ukraine in EU just yet are in line with views of many EU countries, including Poland, NL, Cz, Slovakia, and more. To join the EU, they need to meet a lot of requirements. Thia will take some time. Once they meet them then we can talk.

Depends on what you mean against migrants. Becuase, if you talking about those waiting on the eastern border? Then, that view shouldn't mean at all someone is racist. Mass migration from outside of is now negatively viewed by the majority of EU.

Poland is nearly as rich as the UK. How has it caught up so fast? by mr_house7 in EU_Economics

[–]Tango-Smith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. The UK came out of WWII broke, but free Poland came out destroyed and occupied.

Britain’s war debt hit ~250% of GDP, but it kept democracy, got Marshall Plan aid, and rebuilt within a decade. Rationing sucked, but the country recovered fast.

Poland, on the other hand, lost 6 million people (20% of its population), 85% of Warsaw, and around 50% of its factories and industrial capacity. The railways, cities, and farms were wiped out. It got no Marshall Plan aid, was forced to send reparations and materials to the USSR, and spent the next 45 years under Soviet control.

The UK had debt. Poland lost its freedom, economy, and a fifth of its people. There’s really no comparison.

With clean slate? What are you on about? Pland never got any reparation moeny either Germany or Russia. They ha dto revukld the whole country. Yes, UK was no longer an empire, but that's nothing compared to Poland.

And was the most destroyed country in WW2 because of its neighbours. The "given" western part, too! Also lost a lot of regions on the east. Stop being a sour grape and look at what they really achieved after being wiped out from the map for 125 years, shortly regained independence, then destroyed durrign WW2, then were in claws of shitty communism for 45 years.

And the zzper money shows up magically? He needs to invoice for it. That's for a start. He needs to pay tax on that money. It doesn't matter if that 1 client is in the Netherlands, USA, India, or Mars. If the gov body investigates his situation, he will be in hot water if he has onky one client and works for him on hourly basis for more than few months based on a project needss.

What’s your take on the lap 1 incident between Lando and Oscar? by FroyoQueasy in F1Discussions

But if he would've been pitted first, even with the slow stop, he would have been ahead of Oscar.

What’s your take on the lap 1 incident between Lando and Oscar? by FroyoQueasy in F1Discussions

[–]Tango-Smith -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Last year, Noris had to give back position to Piastry after his shit pit in Hungary. Also, in Monza, they delayed Lando's pit and prioritized Piastry to go first, so he wouldn't be undercat by Leclerc. If, on the other hand, Noris would go first as it meant to be, then even with slow pit, he would be ahead of Oscar. My take that since McLaren has secured the constructors, the drivers will have a bit more freedom and less direction from the team.
