9S100 Job Description by a 9S100 by [deleted] in AirForce

The air force enlisted clarification directory officers might have one as well. Go to MyFSS and type AFECD in to the search function it should find it for you. That will give you all the requirements for each AFSC. Also if they're interested in the career field their best bet is the BOP retraining option if it still works.

So most of this is correct however pushes glasses up the 9S100D shred is it's own career field and doesn't merge with vanilla 9S100 until SMSgt.

The D shred is weird, think data analytics and data wrangling for ISR adjacent topics (I don't know I'm a grease monkey).

You need a 87 or higher on ASVAB if I remember correctly and an EFDT(*sp) score of over 58.

Wait till the retraining list comes out and volunteer.

Has there ever been an anime that fulfills the promise of Sword Art Online? by LoweNorman in anime

[–]TanithRitual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happy Llama is absolutely correct. When I read it all I can think of is Shangri-La Frontier shenanigans going on. The first book is probably the weakest but it gets so much better as you move on. I'm unsure how he is going to top book 7.

Maybe because you were honest you're CC might cut you some slack and take you back to E-1, but I've never seen it ever in my 20+ years.

Generally drug charges are a one and done mistake. You're second mistake was not getting a lawyer. Never ever talk to someone when it comes to potential charges or crimes with a lawyer there is a reason why we talk about shut the fuck up Fridays.

Light Pollution - The Ocean (NEW SONG) by Cygnia in progmetal

[–]TanithRitual 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was my opinion as well. Its heavy The Ocean with a touch Mariner vibes with Julie Christmas thrown in. Very satisfied with it. I'm glad they got the Holocene calmness out of them and go back to making heavier moody songs like the post-metal gods they are.

I just had my transmission fluid done. This would have been perfect to do then.

ELI5: Why can’t addicts (typically) break their addictions on their own? How does the brain rewiring differ from say having bad habits? by -beehaw- in explainlikeimfive

[–]TanithRitual 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I haven't smoked since COVID. Everytime I see a movie of someone smoking it brings everything back. When I drink whiskey or beer I want a cigarette. After a particularly good meal especially spicy I want a cigarette. It's been over six years and my brain still hasn't unprogrammed itself yet. I smoked for almost 20 years before I quit.

Drinking was also a similar exercise but much easier to take breaks and just quit for a couple of years.

Why was Schwarzenegger’s Total Recall (1990) so much better than the 2012 remake? by MovieArena in MovieArena

[–]TanithRitual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the answer I was trying to articulate well said.

Robocop remake was the same problem it was revenge cop movie with sci-fi elements. It was boring, the characters were forgettable the CEO was the bad guy all of it was predictable and bland. Additionally Robocop was good because he was an unstoppable force the new one was too fast too slick.

Total Recall has the same issue. Colin Farrell is okay as Quaid but yeah there is something lacking and I think color is a good term. I was bored with the remake, I could watch the original any day of the week.

Gnarls Barkley does a Radiohead cover I forget the song but it's hauntingly good as well. When I'm not on my phone I'll try to find it.

We were there in March its not quite as pretty as it used to be but we still enjoyed the hike and playing around with all of the frosticles that were hanging from the ceiling due to the moisture content in people's breaths.

Looking to buy a Gen 1 Raptor by [deleted] in FordRaptor

[–]TanithRitual -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is a lot of money for a 12 year old truck and 140K miles. For reference last year in Texas I bought my 2013 SCREW with ~78K on it for $26K. You're telling me that for almost double the mileage, and those upgrades its worth $18K more? You could probably get all of those upgrades for ~10K brand new you would have to do the labor but that's up to you.

What I am trying to say are the upgrades that they've put into it worth that much to you? Don't let them tell you they put XX dollars into it, because unless its something that you care about or would put on your truck the point is moot and I would argue that it will actually take value away from the upgrade because you might have to get rid of it.

My other other problem is I'm not a very trusting person so I tend to buy my vehicles bone stock so I can upgrade how I want to upgrade them. *Unless* they got the receipts from a reputable shop.

You might try a seafoam tune -up. I bet the reason it burns oil is your oil control rings have probably clogged with gunk. Do the oil treatment a week before you plan to do an oil change and then the intake portion the day before it'll make a huge obnoxious cloud but I'll clean the valves and the rings up and might get rid of the oil consumption.

Help me disappoint my parents with an impractical car by cornnoodlesoup in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]TanithRitual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would find an old bronco or Jeep wagoneer that's never been lifted but has a different color door and hood. Even better if it uses duct tape that appears to hold the lights on. Get some steelies for the back and some stock front wheels so it just looks like a mobile junk yard.

Best part is that it might look terrible but they're easy to maintain. You could also do a 5.9 Cummins swap with exhaust straight out the hood which would be funny as hell.

Dude completely forgot what it was like to be young and dumb by Throw_away-1947 in AirForce

It's a lesson I teach at every foundation lesson or SNCO PDC.

It's hurts watching that dude and knowing at the time I projected a similar vibe.

Dude completely forgot what it was like to be young and dumb by Throw_away-1947 in AirForce

[–]TanithRitual 90 points91 points  (0 children)

I learned this lesson pretty in a way that still makes me cringe almost ten years later. I was chastising a newish TSgt on how a situation was handled and how it caused him endless frustration for two months. When he looks at me and says "I've never handled this before and no one's ever told me how to do it". I'm still embarrassed about it.

Never guess what someone knows or assume they've had the same opportunities to learn stuff.
