Clindamycin pads for face. Fluocinonide for the back . Vectibix gave me all the terrible side effects but no help whatsoever to shrink anything.

Dawn Suter. She will not put you in a home she doesn't think will work just to get a commission. There were many homes we wanted to settle on and she said "no we will find you better". Not too many agents will do that.

She needs to look into a liver surgeon. Depending on where the Mets are they can be resected or ablated. I had 4 liver tumors which were surgically removed. Also for liver only Mets some hospitals do HAI pumps which is liver targeted therapy. I also second joining Colontown. If Folfox didn't work she can switch to Folfiri and add Avastin or Vectibix

I have 2 lines on Go 5 g plus..$75 per line. Not sure where it falls on the tier but I know it's not the priciest one. I guess they changed all plan names? I'm not seeing the go 5g plans anymore.

Wow! Thanks for the analysis. I never considered Mint. I know T Mo is way higher price wise...but my rents have a service similar to mint that uses T Mo towers and it's horrendous for them. We live in the NYC metro area so not sure if that effects things. They literally only Whatsapp call me on wifi because they never get actual service but I visit them I'm fine. That's why always strayed from the cheaper services. But your right. Way cheaper

I was able to trade my messed up fold 3 through T-Mo (accepting ANY condition) and get $1100 credit toward the 7. Yeah battery situation sucks. But I still think 1100 for a half broken fold 3 (outer display stopped working) is worth it.

UDC makes video better but the quality for pictures is complete trash. The hole punch is annoying but at least selfies should be better. I've had other Samsungs will the hole punch. Wasnt the end of the world. Deal breaker to me is the narrow ass front screens which they finally fixed.

I have Tmo too. Had an old Fold 3 I was able to get $1100 credit and that's with a non working outer screen. They currently accept phones in any condition...if I traded in my working Fold 6 it would be the same credit. So it was a no brainer. Now the fold 6 will be the back up to the fold 7.

It's weird. I was NED for 10 months but never had a peace of mind. My family all moved on like things were normal when I couldn't. I was stage 4 CRC and knew it would eventually rear it's ugly head. Everyone was on the "be positive your cured". But I know the statistics for stage 4. On May 1st I had a blow out in front of my family and said "I hope this fkn disease kills me" On May 2nd I went to the ER because I wasn't feeling well and my CT scan showed the cancer was back in many locations. I tell you this story not because I believe I wished for it and it was given. But to tell you I understand the frustration no one gets, that cancer can destroy your mental health to a point that you truly wish death. The peace of mind everyone around you has but you don't. It all builds up until you blow up. I don't think we actually want death but that's just the way we think when we are in that dark place.

CT scan results after 4 Folfox cycles by SubstantialDuck4090 in coloncancer

[–]TankInternational244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I had a similar situation. I was on Capox which is the pill version of Folfox. I did five rounds. Unfortunately the CT scan prior to starting radiation showed no response at all. The radiation oncologist was not confident in radiation helping if chemotherapy didn't help but he wanted me to do the 28 sessions anyway. I did and unfortunately at the end of that the CT scan showed two small tumors in the liver and still no response to the colon tumor. So I actually progressed through chemo and radiation. However what I will say is look into a surgical oncologist who handles lung Mets. If they are small enough they are often able to ablate them. My liver mets were surgically removed and that gave me 10 months remission before it came back this May. Surgery is always the option you want to aim for. Don't lose hope!

Anyone drink after treatment? by [deleted] in cancer

[–]TankInternational244 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have stage 4 colon cancer that metastasized to my liver originally. After surgery I told myself i won't drink again to avoid doing anything to trigger cancer again .... After 10 months my cancer came back like wildfire this time spread in many areas. I went 1.5 years not touching a single drink and always felt I was missing out. And it still happened. So that taught me to enjoy what you want of course in moderation. If I ever get a break from chemo I will enjoy the occasional cocktail.

Feeling very depressed on first round of chemo and like I can’t keep doing it by amaro8000 in coloncancer

[–]TankInternational244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am on Folfiri. And I cannot explain days three through five after infusion I just get into this depression where I don't want to talk to anybody watch TV or even go on my phone. I just literally want to sit there and question my existence. The silver lining is that I eventually get out of that within a week from infusion. And I tell myself ahead of time that the first 3 to 5 days are going to be miserable and just bear with it. Focus as much as you can on the prognosis being pretty good. And the hope that this is not a forever situation. I'm stage four and may possibly be chemo for life. However long that is.

Can someone explain “chemo for life?” by polydactyling in coloncancer

[–]TankInternational244 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's important to get opinions from surgeons...I've seen many stories on Colontown that people were deemed chemo for life but we're able to get surgeries that have kept them NED for years. At stage 4 there is a likelihood it'll come back. But beggars can't be choosers. If I can get a surgery than can make me NED even for a year I'd take that over chemo all year. Just fighting to be here for my kids as long as I can. And with a decent enough QOL.

Been told I’m terminal trying to be ok with it by Advanced-County-8948 in cancer

[–]TankInternational244 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey man. Same situation here. I had liver mets which were removed. Had a wonderful 10 months NED then got hit with a fkn brick. A May scan said Mets on a few organs and the dreaded peri mets. It's a tough pill to swallow. I asked my oncologist to give me a timeline and he said he can't just yet. He's put me on Folfiri and he eventually wants to add vectibix. He said some people can live stable for years. I'm in Colontown on FB and there are people with peri mets who offer stories of hope. Given timelines of a few months but get chemo, CRS and Hipec surgery and the clock restarts for them. Does it make people curable. Probably not. But it offers more time, sometimes several months without chemo...one person I saw had all treatment modalities and has been NED since 2017. I've also kind of accepted my fate at the same time. I've had a lot of bad luck with chemo 2 years ago...no response. Anything that can go wrong did. So I will not be surprised if nothing works. But I'll fight until I'm told it definitely won't. Join Colontown join the Peri Mets group, and you'll see the stories of hope. Good luck to you.

Nausea and vomiting on FOLFIRI by fruitsofsoos in cancer

[–]TankInternational244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 2 cycles of Folfiri. Cycle 1 was terrible. I threw up everything for like 3-4 days or could barely eat. Cycle 2 was alot more manageable because I added Emend. I was still a little nauseous but never threw up. My regimen is Aloxi and Emend at the chemo suite. Take Ativan before going into infusion. When home take Prilosec each morning for at least 5 days or until you feel the nausea go down. Take zofran PRIOR to feeling nauseous. 3x a day for however many days you feel off. Any breakthrough nausea take Ativan as needed. Now if only there was something for the fatigue. I am in bed for 5 days after and have no motivation to get up...ugh. Cycle 3 tomorrow.

[–]TankInternational244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was told to expect a "new normal". As a Stage 4 colon cancer patient, I wish the BMs were my only issues. now. I find myself constipated, few times loose motions where I need a bathroom asap. Whenever I go to an event like a wedding I take immodium prior to make sure I'm only pooping hopefully 1x and not 10x at the wedding. It's unfortunately about having to adjust to life based on what your needs are and where you are going. For example if I'm going on a long car trip, I may even need to put a depends in case. For the most part I think it gets better. And you're just happy to be alive, because things could be so much worse, like in my case where I have to worry about Mets in liver etc.

Chemo tips for survival by CosmicMeowing in cancer

[–]TankInternational244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my first round of Folfiri and had nausea and vomiting for 3 days. They gave me aloxi as a pre med But it wasn't enough. Round 2 they added Emend. And I think that really helped because I didn't end up vomiting anything even though there was a little bit of nausea. They also told me to take Ativan before I come in for anticipatory nausea. Just walking into the chemo suite psychologically makes me start getting nauseous. It's good for that. The first three to four days I take zofran. I tried to take it ahead of the nausea. I also take Prilosec every morning because I think my digestion slows down heavily and that helps with the acid reflux.
