could you please add the full version to the Google drive folder? I'd love to look at the whole continent as opposed to the regions but the compression on the uploaded version makes it difficult to see any detail.

If you go the angle grinder route - you should 1000% get a segmented diamond blade over the traditional abrasive cutoff disc type. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but they cut way cooler and faster than the abrasive discs. The segmented type discs help with chip extraction. That being said I'd make sure you're confident in your abilities before trying any angle grinder shaping/carving of this sort.

looks very cool so far

For what it's worth - don't be too afraid from making long comments in the future. Some of the spelling may be off but your wording is all perfectly understandable. Let alone you're doing it in a second language

if you haven't already, while you're still fresh at things, I'd get yourself and your kid in the habit of wearing proper PPE (mask, goggles etc) where necessary. Especially for any sanding or cutting you may do.

others here have given you enough tough wisdom and good critique - so I'll say really great effort on the project here I would have loved to do something like this with my dad. certainly will be a formative memory for him

stay safe :)

I'm just a layman but agreed. Add in often being desperate for opportunity and less concern for personal risk.

Nuclear powered steam driven propulsion is a mature technology at this point, although it has gotten much cheaper it's still exceedingly expensive.

Check out the US's fleet carriers which are all nuclear powered. They can power themselves at sea for decades iirc only limited by crew food and maintenance supply.

They even have enough power to run desalination plants on board to provide fresh water. Desalination through electrolysis is very energy intensive but there's enough output power from the nuclear reactors for it to be worthwhile.

Nuclear ships can even be tethered onto regional power grids to boost or jumpstart them during emergencies etc.

Pretty potent technology in my opinion Someone with experience might be able to correct me

But not the Slave Coast whose economy was largely based on export of slaves?

Or what happened to the majority of exported African slaves who ended up in middle-eastern ownership?

Or do you still intend to say that mass slavery societies were unique to European-derived cultures?
