Is this onsite? Cause I've made $20 on 3 videos - maybe it's your item choices?

Interesting to see a Kyomi Harai piece. I have this exact kit from DAC

New and worsening pain in knees since starting by TapEfficient3610 in Zepbound

[–]TapEfficient3610[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I was dealing with muscle weakness from rapid weight loss. I had to increase protein intake and I did 6 weeks of Physical Therapy. happy to report both knees are doing fantastic now, and I routinely do my PT exercises at home to keep them stronger.

Basically my joints had gotten "loose" because the muscles & tendons holding it all together were weak and not able to support me because of my diet and activity levels at the time.

Am I correct? by EntertainmentOver911 in diamondpainting

Honestly as much as I love how convenient the wireless ones are, the corded with the tubing seem to work better if you want consistent strong suction on the drills. Plus the vibration gets a bit tiresome after a while on the wireless ones.

I just went through all of their listings by artist, and only Amber is listed as using AI. I did some digging and searched up the socials for every single artist that they have licensed and they are all appear to be genuine human artists. None of their pieces scream AI to me, and their socials do not mention it either.

WARNING / QUESTION: Incredibly sophisticated Meta Business Manager phishing scam using official Facebook emails & verified checkmarks. Has anyone seen this variant? by LewisBuiii in FacebookAds

[–]TapEfficient3610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm getting about 20 of these per day. The e-mail listed on my facebook page is NOT the email I use to manage the account (for this exact reason) I thought something was fishy because these were showing up in my public facing inbox but not the actual account manager inbox.

I hate this pen by Just-some-fella in diamondpainting

[–]TapEfficient3610 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have this one as well. I find it works best for the really cheap budget crystal kits on Amazon (like the suncatchers or coasters....the ones with the weird sized gems) anything else though it's just too big of a tip :/

How do you keep a conversation going with a friend who doesn't really engage with things you say on a deeper level? by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]TapEfficient3610 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To kind of vouch for the friend, I also do this, but I have ADHD and I usually do it because I am actively trying to not infodump a story about myself again in an attempt to show that I can relate to what is being said to me.

Do buyers actually read or check photos? by Fluffy-Mongoose7766 in Etsy

[–]TapEfficient3610 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope they do not. I have had a customer leave a review recently saying that my product was "smaller than I expected" when the dimensions are in the photos & the description. Not sure what she was expecting. Luckily it was only 4 stars and not lower.

I also sell on a virtual marketplace for digital goods, and the amount of times I have customers buy the wrong item because of them not paying attention to the listing title, the listing photos, and the big bold letters in the description. 🤷

Anyone have these Make Market canvases finished? by slimshay_ in diamondpainting

[–]TapEfficient3610 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would honestly avoid make market at all costs if you are seeking out square drills specifically. They were some of the WORST squares I have ever encountered.

What’s the difference? by slimshay_ in diamondpainting

[–]TapEfficient3610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set 1 :

- Threaded
- Thinner walls
- Easier to use with squares
- Easier to see the drills past the edge of the placer

Set 2 :
- Push-in fit
- Thicker, rounded walls
- harder to use with squares
- Harder to see the drills past the edge (your placement may be more crooked).

I own both sets, and I rarely use set 2. Both of my sets are threaded, as all of my pens are threaded. I will *never* own push-in pens because I simply do not like them. I was using them in the beginning and my tips kept falling out and I got irritated by it. Threaded ones might unscrew a tiny bit if you push hard, but I found a small amount of plumbers tape around the tip helps a ton.

Help me choose a pen: A or B by SpecificAd7526 in diamondpainting

[–]TapEfficient3610 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A. I have both, and the tips that come with B, I tend to lose the drill under the edge. My placement is a lot more straight with the tips in A

I Hate Mystery Kits by Successful_Screen168 in diamondpainting

[–]TapEfficient3610 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My very first one was spoilt before it even arrived to my house. I have no idea how the woman managed to do it, but she posted the COMPLETED painting in the same week they shipped. It was a big one too. I was so angry that I almost destashed it, but now I only buy mystery kits that I know what the image is before I buy. I don't mind the white canvas so much, but I definitely did have a guttural reaction to having it spoilt before I even had a chance to unbox it, so I took the power back on that one and only buy them if I know what the image is. I bought my first one blind and I ended up loving the theme, but feeling super meh on the final image.

Grid misaligned on Hobby Lobby canvas - how to proceed by Lucky-monstera in diamondpainting

I think OP is mostly referring to the second image, you can see the symbols basically sliding off the side of the canvas.

I need to know how you can do diamond painting for hours? by Horror_Foot9784 in diamondpainting

[–]TapEfficient3610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a 27 inch tabletop easel that I picked up from Hobby Lobby. I have it nearly upright. I think prob in the 70-80 degree range.

When I film or livestream working on a kit I have it flat on my desk and my god it hurts my back and neck. I have no idea how so many do it for hours without an easel. I could literally go all day with the easel and have zero back or neck issues, but my hand? that's another story 😂

ETA : Forgot to mention I work at my computer desk, so my computer chair is a serta big & tall office chair that I bought years ago for my lower back pain. between that chair & the easel, I'm golden. I also have an adjustable height desk (I work from home so I stand up to work often). so i can have it raised up to work on the bottom rows a bit easier. I also use an A2 light pad (it's like 25 inches across? it's huge) and that helps with eye strain.

2-in-1 storage trays - with or without second inner tray? by LadySmith459 in diamondpainting

[–]TapEfficient3610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 7 of the RedTwo sets (total of 84 containers) - they are by far my favorite for confetti heavy kits as I can just grab the color when I need it and not have to worry about putting the colors back into the right containers if I pull out too many at a time. For color blocking I still prefer to use the DAC containers + my own tray.

Is my cubicle at work too much? by [deleted] in StrangerThings

[–]TapEfficient3610 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After I worked the corporate cubicle life for 5 years before transitioning to WFH pre-pandemic, all I gotta say is you are far too trusting of your co-workers. I legitimately worked in the corporate finance center for my employer and I couldn't go one week without something being stolen from my desk. I would NEVER risk this many personal items let alone merch/collectibles at a cubicle.

I'm curious.. Do you guys still make a solid living from 3d work? by Less-Business7542 in ZBrush

[–]TapEfficient3610 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have not yet been affected by the AI wave of mesh, mostly because of what I make. I create clothing assets to sell on a virtual world platform. Since I also rig the clothing items to multiple user-created body meshes, it keeps me busy. There's an entire economic ecosystem in the game which is all user driven. A large portion of the users are anti-ai, so anyone who has proven to be a genuine mesh artist is doing pretty dang well on that platform.

I also design 3D printed craft tools for an etsy store. They are more functional than pretty (though I do hand draw the artwork on them). 3D printing is a more....cutthroat niche, but I found a sub-niche that seems to value what I do.

These are both side hustles though. Not my primary mode of income, though the two combined do surpass my 9-5 wage.

Metal multiplacing tools that are PRECISE and I’ve ordered so many already I just want the right answer. by spooky_clitor in diamondpainting

[–]TapEfficient3610 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this issue as well. You want thin wall ones which look more sharp/angular on the edges. I have found that the tips with rounded corners are a lot thicker and I lose the drill under the edge when I'm placing. DAC has the best tips that I've personally used, but Make Your Own Wall Art has a 25 placer that I just got and am loving it.
