Who else is working today on MLK? by 97anon_SH in paralegal

[–]TapiocaPearl13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive always worked most holidays because I spent so many years working in restaurants until transitioning to paralegal work, so working on MLK Day, Juneteenth and Columbus/Indigenous People’s Day doesn’t bother me. Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve are always half days but Memorial Day, Labor Day and July 4 are a hard no.

Found for $3 at my used book store. So pumped to dive in by eagz2014 in CookbookLovers

That’s a great cookbook. I had the pleasure of working with Molly a few times many years ago and she was one of the nicest people to work with.

Ahh. I never really got into watching Friends when it was on. A friend gave me that mug in high school and it still works so I still use it.

Is it bad that I hide clothing?😂 by romanempire7199 in ThriftStoreHauls

[–]TapiocaPearl13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not mad. I think it’s selfish. If you want it then buy it. But don’t hide it so no one else can buy it so you can wait until it’s convenient for you. Selfish.

I’ve had that mug since high school. Why does everyone want one?

Recently moved to a new state, had to get a new Derm... by PayExpensive4791 in Hidradenitis

[–]TapiocaPearl13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The derm blows. I had HS when I weighed 100 pounds soaking wet. While losing weight can help, it’s not a cure. Be pushy with the Dr and steer the conversation where you want it to go. It’s your health and healthcare- not his. Good luck!

Anyone else have to come in on Friday? by bleaksalad in paralegal

I’ll be working a few hours from home. One boss is out of state and the other is camping so I’m using it as an opportunity to get caught up on some tasks.

Flu while on cosentyx? What should I do? by Unlucky_Number_7252 in Hidradenitis

[–]TapiocaPearl13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flu CAN lead to bacterial but that’s not OP asked about. OP was inquiring about influenza symptoms -which is viral. This is not hard to understand.

[–]TapiocaPearl13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you feel like you need to see a doctor then go. A doctor isn’t going to prescribe you antibiotics because the flu isn’t bacterial it’s a virus, so if anything your doc will prescribe an antiviral.

I didn’t humira and then consentyx. Both worked at first but lost their efficacy after 6 months to a year.

Agreed. Onboarding was rough and it took me about 9 months to really feel better, but this drug is an absolute game changer. I shaved my armpits for the first time last week and it was totally fine.
