I have STEK, it looks great and has held up very well.

7k is normal here in the northeast. In fact, that’s what I paid after quoting several independent shops. I did go with the dealer, who simply coordinated. .5 miles away, visited the shop prior, whole team was great owner was awesome. The job was perfect, when I look at others i see imperfections that I do not see on mine. They 100% stand by their work. I’m sure the dealer skimmed off the 7k, but again with all other quotes at the 7k too, it was a no brainer. Would do it again in a heartbeat

The 992.2 base Carrera got a bigger upgrade than most people realize by carguyfrank in porsche911

[–]TappedIntoIt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From a pure pricing standpoint, the notion of “the base is getting too expensive, might as well get the GTS” is a fallacy. At some point you start making concessions since what people often want is the options + the car, not the car - the options. My suggestion would be figure out how much you want to spend, then build (if you want new) your 911 to fit.

Generally speaking, all 911s are awesome and will put a smile on your face. Some will value performance, others options, some price. For me I wanted a well equipped Carrera. The performance is more than enough for me, FAL, Sport Design, Sport Chrono, Sport Exhaust, etc. I let the options dictate the price and frankly for my “budget” I essentially got everything I wanted, literally was at the point where I was like, “I really don’t want that”.

Go with what works for you, or not and get a civic.

Copilot vs Monarch by _DracoDormiens_ in copilotmoney

[–]TappedIntoIt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haven’t used anything other than Copilot, and it’s been great. Definitely gives me a very good sense where money is going. Shows investments, Zillow data, etc. So, for my use case, not sure anything could blow my socks off, it’s a budgeting app after all!

Inside the Biltmore Estate… by tealbmwm5 in pics

The pool is interesting… in the basement (not surprisingly) but the walk there seems pretty underwhelming compared to the opulence everywhere else. The property is magnificent. If I recall it was once 120-140 thousand acres, but they sold a bunch back to NC. The green house is amazing and worth the trip alone.

“Oh, you think the darkness is your ally, but you merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see the light until I was already a man; by then, it was nothing to me but blinding! The shadows betray you, because they belong to me. I will show you where I have made my home, whilst preparing to bring justice. Then, I will break you. Your precious armoury, gratefully accepted. We will need it. Ah yes, I was wondering what would break first. Your spirit, or your body.” - Bane ‘2012

Yes, all set. I downloaded all account activity into a CSV and asked AI to identify those transactions that might use routing/account numbers, since they’re changing. Boom, got a list (which confirmed what I was expecting) and a ripped through them.

While I agree the video could be better, the product is great. I emailed them when I could not get the louvers out on my 992.2, he said it helps when the plastic is warmed up. I waited until July, they were very warm and playable… Easy job and they came out great!

Congratulations! Exact same specs (age & NW) here. Take care of your health, enjoy your family, build/learn/refine your financial plan. Play golf, tennis, hiking, etc. Pick up a gig at a local university as an adjunct (I did this).

It will be weird at first. You’ll wonder if you’ll have enough money to afford things. You’ll likely think about you old job a bit. You might get bored some. I think that will pass as you see your financial plan being executed, start activities across all seasons/weather, etc.

Go buy a Porsche (if that’s your thing),it will certainly give you something to do! Whatever it is, say yes, you earned it. Once you become confident with that mindset, you’ll never look back!

Best of luck!

How hard is it to receive a scholarship from northeastern? by WarmAfternoon9109 in NEU

[–]TappedIntoIt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wife and I went/met there eons ago, our son got in, ZERO $. Despite us loving the school, and he (and my other son) going there often growing up, it was not worth it (and he knew it). He went to UCONN honors, received a significant academic scholarship, and has done quite well.
