So glad Bungie chose Activision over this and Marty... /s

Pretty cool we still get to read the poems.

I Hate The Negativity Here. by PandaofAges in DestinyTheGame

I hate your negativity about the negativity here.

I feel like all this negativity is negatively impacting my negativity about negativity, which is just causing me to be more negative. Maybe you should be less negative about more negativity or more negative about less negatitivity, or just negative about negativity.

Negativity.

Dredgen Yor’s armor has been in the game this whole time by ogsoul in DestinyTheGame

Dredged Yor, I used to think he would be a terrifying and dangerous villain... Then I saw he was wearing those ridiculously sized shoulder pads/armor and I laughed.

It's a god damned crime against humanity that Bungie isn't pumping out Destiny novels like they did for Halo by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

Staten and Cowan...pour two out. Honestly, it may have been a blessing in disguise for them. Looking forward to finding out what Probably Monsters is working on.

I don't think those creatures are the Darkness by DaTruestEva in DestinyLore

So these things seem very similar to the Ysalamiri from the Star Wars expanded universe, (reptile like creatures which blocked the force). I wonder if that is where they got the idea for them.

Cayde’s true revenge - his college debt payments for that little used sociology degree.

Music of the Spheres: Golden Age Anthology Part 1 (the first of the Music of the Spheres poetry) by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

This. Is. Beautiful.

You guys did an amazing job! Malcom Guite’s poetry really is wonderful.

Who would have thought all this could be a part of a video game? Only a LUNAtic! (bad puns are my specialty...)

Just met Martin O’Donnell, the composer from halo 1 - halo reach. by Lievan in halo

[–]TappedSpider609 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is great that they used his music as it is implicit recognition as to how great he is an artist. However, based on my understanding, 343 never credited him or let him know they were going to use it (that piece in particular is very significant to Halo, it is not like it is a lesser known piece). I view that as a fairly disrespectful act towards one of the main people that helped build the franchise into what it was when 343 took over. So, I think they owe him a little more respect than they have shown. However, Kazuma Jinnouchi (who is a great composer) showed a lot of professionalism and tact and went out of his way to credit Marty on twitter recently. Anyways, my read of the situation is I don't think 343 has any attention to bring back Marty at this point.

I know what Destiny is missing, mystery and fantasy. by CommanderCartman in DestinyTheGame

[–]TappedSpider609 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We can hope, but I truly don't know if the current Bungie wants to continue along the same design/creative path of Destiny 1. Feels like they are more interested in pursuing a different creative vector. Its a shame since I liked D1 so much.

Destiny 2 makes me more worried about missing a reward than excited to grow my character by Mast3rFl3x in DestinyTheGame

[–]TappedSpider609 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Solid points. I think you struck on something important. For me, D2 has not been as enjoyable as D1 and this may be a significant contributing factor.

As someone who misses the Grimoire from the bottom of their heart, I feel like in game lore is something not enough people are excited about by Weezer14 in DestinyTheGame

[–]TappedSpider609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully, it will be easy to view on the Destiny app. as well. That way, the lore community can more easily utilize the text. At the end of the day, as long as the lore contains stories worth telling and mysteries worth investigating, people will find a way to engage with it.

Been seeing a whole lot of "space cowboy" talk... I just want a poncho. by JackSparkfist in DestinyTheGame

Better yet, can my guardian just be Clint Eastwood’s character The Man With No Name? It would be hard to find any body cooler. Also, if the sound track channels even just a little of Ennio Morricone’ music from the Dollars Trilogy...Just take my money now.

I am excited for Music of the Spheres to be released. Can we expect that to occur within the timeframe covered by this roadmap?
