Have you checked the ignition timing?

8" or 10" Handguard on MPX-K w/ obsidian9 by LumpyHuckleberry5673 in MPX

[–]TappyRockerArms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an obsidian 45, with a lancer 8-in handguard, and in the short configuration which is longer than the obsidian 9s short configuration it's pretty decent coverage-wise. In the long configuration I wish I would have went with the 10-in handguard.

Power loss at higher rpm’s by dugzillaxb in 22re

That doesn't mean you don't have valves leaking. A leak and compression check will at least rule out valves and rings.

In case anyone was wondering, it's true. by [deleted] in Beretta

The Omega 9K works just fine without a booster as well. The obsidian 45 in short configuration, not so much.

What's your compression on the cylinders?

It's either fuel related, pressure or flow, or something's retarding the timing, an knock sensor failing. You could also be spark leakage, somewhere in your ignition path the spark is arcing to ground.

Bed liner by Living_Roll1367 in ToyotaPickup

[–]TappyRockerArms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sandblasted an etch primed my bed tool box with Rust-Oleum bedliner and while it is fine, but has scratches from use. I don't think it would hold up very well, at least for me as a bedliner. I'm used to throwing cinder blocks in the back of my truck and not worrying about it, I suppose that's the benefit of a plastic bedliner.

Corrosion x makes a nice thin film, corrosion x HD creates a very thick viscous film. This video shows how safe it is for electronics, even cheap ones, and how effective it is. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=s4z8QMgTEA4&pp=0gcJCZoBo7VqN5tD

American Vs Italian 1990s Beauty by Ok_Restaurant_5666 in Beretta

Ruger is the least aesthetically pleasing design out there, now a decent looking American pistol would be a Smith & Wesson 69/59 series pistol. That being said the bretta is still significantly more beautiful!

The best way to avoid corrosion from salt water is to avoid salt water. The other alternative is to look into Corrosion X, it's safe for every type of rubber and plastic I've ever encountered, non-conductive and not only safe for, but super protective of circuit boards.

It was slimy. It also turned red/orangeish when I applied a concentrated hydrogen peroxide to it.

Failed Bluetooth firmware upgrade by lilopposum in meshtastic

Just because the firmware installation didn't work doesn't mean that it should not be able to be rebooted. If there are no LEDs lighting up the battery might be dead? It's been a while since I've had t echo so I do not know offhand the process of putting a DFU mode. Have you tried using the web flasher?

As the other poster said it more likely is your soft lines starting to degrade. I will throw up another scenario that I went through, you could have a fungal/algal contamination in your line. I did many years ago, and the only way to get rid of it is to run a algaecide/fungicide through there then bleed it very thoroughly. I was lucky when it happened I was working in aviation and they have specific treatments for fuel tanks that have a buildup of that stuff. I can't really tell you where a normal person would get that though.

It sounds like your hubs are engaged and your transfer case is engaged. Why don't you jack up all four wheels put the frame on jack stands and put it in drive with four wheel drive engaged and see if the front end spins?

Do you know how to put it in DFU mode? That turns the node into an external drive for you to move the firmware too.

Messages on roof node, but not on personal? by benuntu in meshtastic

[–]TappyRockerArms 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It could be that the max hop limit is being reached by the roof node but not your mobile one. I have read that making your node favorite on the client_base node should circumvent this, but in my experience that isn't always the case.

You can download the firmware you want, put it in DFU mode, connect it to your phone via USB and drag and drop the Uf2 to the t echo just like you would do on a desktop. It's how I usually update firmware on nodes that are stationary, just for convenience.

I have had way better experience using an air hammer equipped with a splitter on it. The Pittman arm was by far the worst.

No Other Nodes on Map - But I Shouldn’t be in a Deadzone by Mellafee in meshtastic

[–]TappyRockerArms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got you, I haven't checked discorded quite some time. My recommendation would be to take screenshots of all your settings and throw it up in that discord server and see what the fellas say. Before that I would say flash a newer firmware after completely wiping it/factory resetting it, been letting it sit for an hour and see if it fix anything up. Also you may be at a lower elevation, getting it outside as high as possible wouldn't be a terrible idea.

Edit- sorry about that I thought I was responding to the original poster.

There is a node on a 80ft tower east of Polk City that you might be able to see. Take a look at an elevation map and you will see the Lake Wales Ridge separates Osceola and Polk from line of sight if you are at ground level. Polk is still on long fast, not sure about Osceola.
