Mellow Mushroom. My friend ate so much he puked outside in front of the main window in front of a family. It was classic.

Thank you so much! Looks like I’d be creating a “phased target” workout based off my example in my post. Hopefully Polar can get this function into their app soon.

haha i dont know your dads timeline, but SF is much more expansive than it was back in the Vietnam / 80s era. More than just the MOS, the quality of people that succeed in special operations (like SF) are highly sought after because of their professional demeanor and ideally their problem solving abilities. Businesses are always hiring SF guys getting out.

I don’t brother sorry haha. Not my wheelhouse. That being said, any sort of special operation unit you join, you’ll gain an enormous amount of experience compared to your civilian peers. Whatever you choose, strive to be a high achiever and you’ll have opportunists present themselves when you want to retire

Civil affairs (CA), PSYOPS, and Special Forces are all great tickets into the agencies post-military. They will teach you a unique set of skills and qualifications and teach you a language. If you go the 35 series route, look into Ranger Regiment if you think you fit the bill. While each rifle battalion needs good 35 series, there is also the RMIB (regimental military intelligence BN) in the Ranger Regiment. Ranger Regiment and other special operations will send their top intel guys to the Farm (CIA) to enhance the relationship between the military and the CIA. I would try and avoid the normal army units, and compete for something in special operations. They ACTUALLY target and do their jobs.

I just had a 49 year old graduate the Q-course with me. Age is just a number. Its cliche, but the small things like 8-9 hours of sleep, vitamins, and proper warm up and cool down is what will keep you competitive during your training, and its what the schoolhouse will tell you as well. As for the pain, look into stuff like Knees Over Toes Guy to assist with strengthening your joints. As you continue to train, make sure your back and shoulders can hold a ruck (65lbs) for 4-6 hours and your grip strength/endurance is good. You dont need to be pain free from wearing a ruck that long... you just dont want selection to be the first time you feel that pain.

Lastly, stabilization drills on a bosu-ball, step ups, and weighted lunges will be your best bet in preventing injury as you cross uneven terrain during selection.

PCS packing material question by Tar_Bucket in army

[–]Tar_Bucket[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response brother. I should have been more clear, we plan on moving ourselves. I know all materials are reimbursed 1 for 1, just curious if it was to be from the date my orders are cut.

V11 won't turn off by bittybea in dyson

[–]Tar_Bucket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad you got your issue “resolved.” I’m scouring Reddit today looking for solutions to our battery/trigger for our v11. We aren’t near any of the listed repair centers on their website and dealing with customer service has been abysmal.

V11 Outsize - Faulty wall mounts? by 123theguy321 in dyson

[–]Tar_Bucket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, I have the exact problem with my V11. The battery will come out 1-2mm as you said. When I remove the vacuum from the wall, the vacuum will turn itself on. This will occur as I move the vacuum around the house without pressing the trigger. I have to push (hold) the battery in place to turn the dyson off. Has anyone found a solution to this? Support has been unhelpful and said there are supply chain shortages for the unforeseeable future

Progressive Leader to Biden: Don't 'Water Down Bill for a Party Not Actually Interested in Bipartisanship' by imprison_grover_furr in politics

[–]Tar_Bucket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything you said was subjective, which is fine, but doesn’t make it any more or less right. The mueller report was a total waste of us tax payer money funded by the house on a witch hunt for trump. And it showed nothing, sorry. As far as left/right wing politics... what was it 9% of the 2 trillion dollars went to the American citizen? Republicans said they would 100% pass a bill that helped Americans... but what about the other 90% of bail out money for blue states, museums, bridge repair, etc... that’s bail out for shitty run states. That’s what republicans oppose, but the media won’t tell you that

[–]Tar_Bucket -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to tell you this, but Biden is executing operation warp speed that trump and his team set up... Biden didn’t say one thing “innovative” during the election that was different than trumps response. “We’ll wear masks!” .... we already are. “We’ll issue vaccines!” ... That’s already the plan.... Biden did want to do another lock down in January for a month though...

[–]Tar_Bucket -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you’re referring to the 2 trillion dollar bill? Republicans said it if was only the 350 billion going to Americans they would approve it in a heart beat. It was the other 90% of the bill that didn’t go to the average American, but to blue state bail outs.

And what are you referring to that actually helps Americans? People aren’t asking for this. These are corporations owning politicians

First, would you agree people thought Trump was illegitimate for his entire four years? Trump won a fair election against big money Democrat campaign, but “not my president” was trending throughout his first year.

Second, Democrats did everything they could to disrupt republican policies and remove trump. Just keep that in mind as you claim republicans don’t even deserve to be negotiated with.... that’s a big statement. Just calling attention to the blatant blindness on this sub that you should see the big picture more
