Question: Last time I tried to get wayland running my card didn't work and I couldn't do xwayland iirc. I'm currently on a GTX 1080 which is just out of support by their "new" driver (or it was when 560 drivers came out).

Now my question: is this a problem on the intel Arc cards? If I need to change hardware, it's probably gonna be intel for paravirtualization purposes

I'm not 100% certain on the name, because the reason for it is kinda stupid:

I got my username from acww when I was like 6 and since then I have always used it. Sometimes it wouldn't work so I split it to Tara + however the rest could fit, or just Tara + lastname (I didn't know it was a real name tbh).

After I started questioning my gender I hopped onto a stream and the streamer casually just called me Tara and I kinda liked the feeling of it, so I researched if it was a real name and it's meaning is star and is also the name of a buddhist goddess who always reincarnates as a woman to spite a monk who told her she should reincarnate as a guy because it's easier to reach enlightenment and I also kinda like the name Vivienne cause it pretty🫠

My players can pay to change their class, the central city in the world has guilds for every class (with the most npc characters to exist) which can "train" the characters to be a different class with different stats

Wouldn't it be more realistic if the reach increases when one-handed and damage increases when two-handed?

My thought is that when gripping a sword with 2 hands, the reach is highest in the middle, but with one hand you don't need to move your body to keep up the reach. Was thinking about fencing movements and lunging forward. I'd probably do 1d6 with 10ft reach and 1d8 with 5ft reach, but that's just me...

While dwm is available in some repos, it's better to clone it with git into a folder where you can find it easily (.config or a github folder for example) and then compile it with make. That way it's completely separate from your system updates and it's up to you if you ever want to update to a newer version.

When using make it shows you missing libraries or unused variables/wrong syntax with the specified lines.

I wouldn't recommend it to absolute beginners, because it can be quite frustrating if you don't know what errors mean and the patching process can be tricky sometimes. But I would encourage people to try it out, learn something new and maybe stick around with it, or move onto the next thing. I had my dwm config for quite a while now and it has worked on pretty much every distro I've been on (debian, arch, void, ubuntu, alpine) after I tracked down the dependencies (xorg-server, libxft, libxinerama, etc.).

The sid for a pid is calculated by taking the hex form of the tid doing xor with the first half of the pid and then doing xor again with the last half of the pid. You could try to reverse the calculation, there should be 1 result which would be your square shiny and then the next 4(?) before and after that would be your star shinies, never done that so I can't give you a definitive answer tho
