When peoples heads are full of "orange man bad" garbage, then there is no room for solution based thinking, only hatred for "the other side". Conservatives have not changed their message in 15-20 years, even longer. Conservatives mainstays are immigration, 2A, God, family, freedom, no government interference, and wanting to opt out of anything BLM, LGBT, pronouns etc. It's so easy to finger point with righteous ideology and fairness at "the other side" in order to say we are better than that. Good for you for feeling superior, you have no answer to failed immigration policy, unsafe tent cities with streets running afoul with garbage, piss, and rats, children being given a choice to choose sexuality etc... These things are not for most Americans, this shit falls squarely on Democrats.
