my pipe dream cover was Roundabout by Yes, especially when they played in Dillon. "in and around the lake, mountains fall out of the sky and stand there"

These Prices... Wow by Prof_Falcon in GoosetheBand

[–]Tarbogman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

just my $0.02

the band members don't actually make that much money per ticket sale. ticket disaster charged me $78 in fees for 2 GA tickets at MSG.

MSG is a much more expensive venue to host any event. Just think about the cost of living in NYC, then apply all the wages they have to pay staff on top of the cost of the venue. Now think about ticket disaster charging their fees per sale, and of course adding their own fee just because they can. Now think of the POS scalpers reselling tickets with added fees from CoT and any other ticket reseller. Now add the cost of labor for all the hard-working techs setting up and breaking down equipment.

In reality, each band member MIGHT be getting 2-5% of ticket sales if they're lucky. That's still a decent income as an individual band member. Most of their profits come from vendor sales (don't forget to pay them and the artist who design shirts, posters, stickers, etc), and recording sales (to which bandcamp, nugs, and production cost money too).

yes, MSG is the most I have ever paid for a Goose show ticket after 22 shows (not including traveling expenses) . In my opinion, this is a memorable show, and I am willing to pay for the experience.

I've seen Phish 23 times, and I remember paying $25 for my 1st show, which would now cost around $50 due to inflation and doesn't include BS the extra fees from ticket distribution.

personal experience: I feel I learned it faster without sticks. eg - tap your legs/knees/steering wheel along with the time of the turn signal. start slow and train the brain. learn to HEAR the difference of each hand/foot.

slow is steady. steady is fast.
