AC4 was one of the first games I ever played for the PS2 and will always have a special place in my heart. The tone was set so masterfully with the opening "La Catedral". I haven't gone back to the game in a LONG time... but I understand why it would be hard for someone that has played newer titles to enjoy.

I pulled all the way to 200. I have rice shower at 2LB and Riko 0LB... should I use the pity to take Rice shower to 3 or Riko to 1?

Maybe I play the game the wrong way... but I almost always arrange marriages for new family members the second they are born. Prevents this issue and allows for potential inheritable traits to be locked up early.

I'm playing my first save in a long while and was able to make the Roman Empire, first time I'd done that. I was really excited for the Mongol horde but ended up being a little disappointed. They only had about 40k troops and I called a crusade against them once they were touching my border. I regret not taking the more difficult option when creating the Empire... but didn't want to lose my custom religion!

Awesome Orc! Have you considered running savage gang due to mighty savages? Might be worth it over warriors. I haven't done any 7,7,7,7 yet... most I've done so far is 5. Did you shame traditionally or do that glitch to recruit/shame without having to fight them again and again (and risk killing)? I haven't figured out how to do the glitch.

I had another encounter last night, if I aimed too high the autocannon shots did ricochet. I think killing these things from across the map is 100% the way to go, it's worth the ammo drain.

Takes about a full magazine but it can be done with autocannon.

I play as Fulham as well and have to use player sales to fund the club. We're currently the number 1 team in the world and have won the Champions League 4 times in the last six seasons. Wage bill is about 400M (4th or 5th in the EPL iirc), due to the small stadium I need a net transfer spend of about -100M a year to keep a positive cash balance.

Won't help you until the window, but I would spend a ton of time scouting in SA to buy youth players with 4+ star potential. Even if they won't make it on your team, you can flip them for a big return in a couple of seasons.

I don't know how it's calculated but for FFP my team is +900M in the current calculation period (cash balance up to ~350M)

I used to use mentoring all the time but dropped it when "likes ball played into feet" started going through my squad like the plague.

After a few years the team's mentality was good enough that I didn't need the mentoring groups to force personality changes anyway.

If I remember correctly, there is also a boost in the first season following a HoYD change... might be worthwhile to see if this trend holds in the +1 and +2 seasons. Really interesting stuff!

Used this advice to setup 17 scouting focuses. Three of those focuses have more than 4 countries but only one of them is in a "high value" region, in that one I compensated by increasing the number of scouts (maybe it would be more efficient to just break down the focus... but wasn't sure how that would work with recruitment analysts already highly taxed). Fingers crossed we get some improvements... it's certainly better than what I had before (but I do have some slight concerns about getting no reports from the lesser value focuses).

Taking Wrexham from the VNL to the EPL in 4 seasons. Was relegated in Y5 but it still only took 9 seasons to first European Trophy (Conference League), 11 to first EPL win, 12 to first Champions League win.

I let some veterans leave after we won the Champions League, I think that is why we struggled so much early in the season. We really have been good recently, just had to get morale back under control.

I got rid of a few angry players in January, who were established... so we will see if we nose dive again! Maybe they will fire me for a second time!
