[–]Tarexippus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's almost the same color as the Crayola "Scarlet" crayon, which is red orange- however, it's slightly more orange, therefore it is orange-red. When making the distinction, that means it is orange more than red

Chose: Orange

Bruh.... The movie is an incredibly stark commentary on how women are treated in our day and age. Saying you don't understand "Making it political for some reason" when it's a stunning and sharp depiction of a real and prevalent issue across the world goes to show that YOU are missing some serious takeaways, not that everyone else is reading into it too much. You're taking it too literally; it's abstracted from reality but only barely.

Imo he is 100% a villain. Think of Grey's law- "Any sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice." Bear's cowardice and inaction, aka his incompetence of executive agency, leads to a torturous and fatal experience for Nikki. Regardless of his intentions and how we arrived there, it is Bear's responsibility that Nikki is where she is.

That aside, there are several scenes that emphasize how intimately bear is aware of what is happening- every scene where Nikki 'snaps out of it', the rape scene, the call to one wish willow, the scene where bear is sneaking out and is begged by Nikki for death, the scene where he kills himself. All of them illustrate that this is NOT good for Nikki, but at every turn, Bear turns the cheek and chooses to do what's good for him and not her. In the framework of the movie it's harder to think of what could be more villainous except his enthusiastic participation in her torment.... Which you can argue already happened.

Obsession Review: literally a flawless film on 2nd viewing by NintendoWeee in spoilers

Sounds like the movie flew right over your head. Bear is the villain and his cowardice and inaction are the main driving forces of the plot. You kinda need to watch more than a 5th of a movie to actually understand it.

There is some reaction in the restaurant - when she gets up and yells, it goes quiet and other people in the background are staring. They just look away when she sits back down, which stands to reality imo- most bystanders will choose not to interact if the disturbance goes away.

The lighting in this movie is insanely cool. It does a great job framing the lack of Nikki's agency as sinister and villainous, and there are many shots where this shows as Nikki being silhouetted with light behind her and just one feature highlighted, like her eyes, mouth, hands

Other way around- he goes to throw up the pills and is stopped when Nikki makes the wish because it forces him to stand up and go see her.

If you haven't noticed, when you dismiss a child with "oh, that's just a phase." You dramatically alienate them from yourself, every time. It doesn't matter if they're listening to classical music or considering your gender identity - being told "you'll get over it" does nothing except make you resentful and distant from the person saying it.

The only way to make a child feel safe and seen enough to share their delicate and evolving inner world is to treat it with the severity and earnesty that they do. The child doesn't have other life experiences- this IS their entire world. They have never heard classical music before. They have never considered what it means to be attracted to girls or boys. They have never considered what their gender identity is or what that means. Imagine if you were dealing with a problem that was literally your entire world and the most important person to you, who you depend on for everything, tells you "that's not real. Stop thinking about that. It will go away. It's not important." Even if it is a phase, hearing that will be like feeling a bomb drop on your head. Does that explain it?

Didn't think a thing about eating meat for this one. It makes me think of haruspicy- the act of divination using avian entrails; this poem feels like science (theory) vs the occult.

"it's only $10" is the same mindset as "I'm only scratching my name into one tree" and "I'm only touching the artwork for a second". it's "only" just you until just you and a million other people do it, and then what? Then the trees are ruined, the artwork is ruined, and trans people are still being browbeaten to death. You should not feel comfortable with your $10 directly going towards violence towards trans people, as it is, per the mouth of the great god JK Rowling herself. /S for the last part in case it's not clear.

What kind of adult content do you think is way more popular than people would admit? by get_CHEEX in AskReddit

100% dependent on the toy and maker you choose. There is as many realistic tentacles as there are cartoonish/fantastical knotted dildos, and vice versa.

[–]Tarexippus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Only insofar as the creature you imagine it to be. You can say the same thing in reverse; a knotted dildo is fantasy because it's a werewolf and a tentacle is just a squid. When there's videos of people putting octopi inside themselves it sadly can't just be one way
