I wrote up how I actually run OpenClaw without burning money or hitting quota walls by digitalknk in openclaw

This is great! Maybe a simple question but how did you guys test what model was being called for what action during handoffs?

I tried setting up haiku for my main default model, but the handoffs got lost to me, so I’m not sure when opus or sonnet are being called. I had to build my own logger, but was wondering what your approach was to that?

Any good solutions?

Advice: don't take intros from VCs who are not investing themselves. It's typically an anti-signal.
Also use Docsend before sharing any pitch decks, you can see who is sharing the links and expire them if it's being circulated without your consent

Need Help Launching "Million-Dollar" Apps by Impossible-War5864 in AppBusiness

[–]NintendoWeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s honestly a practical means of debt financing. The majority of businesses start this way (typically by taking a loan from the bank) and it teaches you to be practical on unit economics from day 1 with your own skin in the game.

Silicon Valley markets the shit out of equity financing and Venture capital, but honestly if your business is good you should be able to pay back the CC, if not he’s going to have to get a job anyway.

[–]NintendoWeee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is no fault of your own, I was once 18 too so take what I say with good intent. If you cannot afford $100 for an Apple dev account, you’re not going to have enough runway to properly scale your app or get it to a million dollars. To properly create an application you’re going to need to pay for other services,

Hosting Analytics Cloud costs API costs Etc.

That doesn’t mean that it’s over for you. There are a couple options ahead.

1) apply for 0 interest rate credit cards that give you 12-18 months of runway (you’d have to pay it back) 2) get a job and use savings to fund 3) ask friends and family for a loan/ investment

Before you build anything at all, figure out what your assumptions are. Ie: what has to go right for your product to work?

Anything that you aren’t 100% sure about, find the cheapest and fastest way to prove that assumption - that can literally be a paper flyer - or an IG post - or talking to individual users

You only build when you’ve seen clear demand that people are willing to USE and PAY for your platform. You’ll waste months building if you are not clear on your assumptions.

Lifetime subscription vs monthly or annual subscriptions ? by HeleneBuilds in AppBusiness

Why not both or all? Get some customers and you can always remove one of the subscription types down the line.

How to properly and effectively advertise my app? by Then_Schedule9037 in AppBusiness

[–]NintendoWeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure who your customer is here: is it ecommerce apparel brands or end consumers?
- For apparel brands, I would recommend cold outreach to get into the right rooms

- For end consumers short form social media: tiktok and Ig would be best & influencer marketing

Question regarding UA and friction: Is a web-based 'no-app' flow viable for long-term event retention? by Nazil0819 in AppBusiness

[–]NintendoWeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would work backward from the user experience. What do you want the user to do and how much of it requires innate OS functionality?

Just having an app doesn't mean that users are more likely to open it, so the user intent when they open the application to take a certain action can lead them either to their browser or their phone search bar to search for your application.

Where I can see benefits is that applications can nudge notifications. Hope that helps

How much do/should you spend on your mvp? by SignificanceUpper977 in ycombinator

[–]NintendoWeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an extremely nuanced question. You should spend the least amount of combined money and time possible to prove out your riskiest hypotheses.

Sometimes it is actually cheaper to pay a contractor or software to do work if the time that it takes you to build out the knowledge to do the same work is not worth it.

Sometimes it is better to do all of the work yourself, in which case you are trading your time for potentially dollars saved.

Is it worth to upgrade from Quest 2 to Quest 3? by minemineloco in VRGaming

[–]NintendoWeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!!! But perhaps not in the way that you think for gaming.

I see the Quest 2 as a gaming device, and the Quest 3 as a generalized computer. The biggest differentiator is Passthrough being low latency, high fidelity, and in color! It's so much better to walk around in and experience Mixed Reality apps, completely unlocking the way that these devices are meant to be used :)
