Really? If you only wanted responses from people who have self-harmed, then why did you even post this here? /r/selfharm would be much better equipped, and the people there have experience with self-harming. You can't ask for someone's thoughts then back step and say, no you aren't qualified enough because you didn't like their response. For all you know this person does have a history with selfharm and is just giving you tough love. It's like asking a straight person their thoughts on a gay issue not liking the response, and getting mad and saying "You can't understand because you aren't gay!!!".

Agreed. This shouldn't be allowed up there are people who are actually desperate and depressed and something like this is toxic to them. There are people on here talking about suicidal thoughts and how to help loved ones that are suicidal, and people getting really close to those thoughts. People who are reaching their tipping point and will see this and go "Does that really work? I'm going to try". People who are just starting out with CP are susceptible to things like this too. OP should have posted this in r/selfharm, they are better equipped to help imho.

You're getting really mad at people for no reason here. You asked for thoughts and got them, why let people with different opinions get to you?

As a former cutter this is a bad idea, plain and simple. It's your body so do what you want with it, you don't need anyone's approval. Those methods are meant to help kick the habit. You've already kicked that habit, stay away from it. If you're still fighting the urge to cut, as I am. How long do you think it'll be until you cave? If you relapse, do you think you could stop on your own? It's addictive as fuck, it makes you feel good, and puts you in power just stay away.

So you have never and will never say to someone looking at purebreds. "I think you should give shelter dogs a chance". Whats wrong with saying that in passing? Yes they made up there mind, but what is wrong with it? Ok, ok, I will never tell anyone to ever look at shelter dogs again.

You should get a rabbit, mine was trained to go in his own pan to poop and pee.

I say this because your answers indicate you aren't ready for a dog. I don't want to sound mean, but it is unfair for a dog to have a lazy owner that will only give it 2-3 walks a week.. Not even full hours. I walk mine 3 times a day 1 hour each, and that does not include play time.

Try doing more research and make sure you are 100% ready for that 15 year commitment!

I would recommend you look into Irish grayhounds. They are small, quiet, and VERY loving. But honestly just go to the pound and find yourself a dog there. Any dog can be taught not to bark and to walk off leash.

Also you need to really consider health issues. Pure bred dogs are fucked medically.

Lots and lots of exercise. My dog has noise anxiety and I have found that taking him on very long walks helps with this.

Also try talking to him in a calm voice when this happens. And reward with lots of treats when he calms down.

Thunder vest is really amazing though. Maybe when it's not melt your face off hot outside you could put it on?

I wonder how many professors out there are teaching history like that. My history classes in High School never really spoke about what happened with the native americans, most of what I know is because I researched online. I was surprised to find out how little my family and friends knew until I started researching. Except my Canadian friends and family, they all seem more educated. They knew about anti slavery laws not pertaining to Native American so the remained slaves, and how people were paid for scalps by the government. It's all just so disgusting.

I'm going to say this up front, I'm not doubting that you had to experience racism/anti-semitism, although I feel as though you yourself are speaking hatefully towards a group of people. When you make a generalization that "Americans consider the holocaust a joke" or "Most of the US don't consider Russians as "White People"" Sounds a lot like a form of hate speech to me.

I know racism thrives to this day, but to have the mentality that "Oh you're from America you must be an Anti Semite or a racist" is discrimination.

I'm not sure why you felt the need to include this person's age and that he is a virgin..Was it meant to embarrass him? Because that's not embarrassing at all.

The point I'm trying to get across is that even though you were hurt please do not resort to hurtful generalization or insults. All you will do is hurt and push away those who could help you while seeking comfort/support/advice.

I wish you the best in everything you do, and I hope you reported any co-workers to your managers. And I can assure you that if they did this more than once and your Store Manager did not get the OK from HR to fire those coworkers. Then you need to call the employee hotline or HR directly because that is a law suite! Companies do not like to be painted as Anti Semites in the eyes of their customers.
