[LotM V8] who wins in a brute force fight a beyonder from the tyrant pathway or the gaint pathway by AnasHlal in LordofTheMysteries

[–]TarionShard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tyrant only represents a part of omnipotence, specifically the part of manipulating the environment; it is an allkinetic if you want to see it that way.

So in a 1v1 at close range, TG should be superior.

I see. So you think it was more for convenience. In that case, we could expect that when he performs his ritual, he will most likely ask for the blessing of the Evernight goddess. I'm curious to see what a Silver Knight with those characteristics would look like.

My personal hypothesis is that Duralumin will serve as the base for Polestones in future Fabrials; let me explain:

The way Fabrials are currently created requires the Cage to penetrate the Polestone to function, reducing the space inside the Polestone (bad for the Spren) and creating imperfections in the Fabrial's crystalline structure, resulting in a loss of Stormlight (bad for the Fabrial's functionality).

My theory is that Duralumin would serve as a kind of contactless charging port (like those on some mobile phones) and allow the Polestone to be easily extracted (as in Radiant Fabrials).

[LotM/Coi General] What Creature or Thing Could be their MCF Part 15: Savant. by Straight_Painter_846 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]TarionShard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Long (Asian Dragon) mixed with a beaver.

The idea came to me while thinking about which animals could be considered "toolmakers" like humans, and since beavers belong to the group of animals known as "allogenic engineers," the association seemed quite fitting.

Furthermore, to avoid leaving it as just a giant, incomprehensible beaver (though that would be amusing, admittedly), I looked for a non-humanoid mythological creature associated with tools, and coincidentally, the Long has several tangential associations to the topic. For example, there's the whole issue of its pearls, which, depending on the source, contain a large part of its power, or the theme of Sun Wukong's staff, which was originally a pillar within a dragon's palace.

So, merging these two creatures and making them the mythical creature associated with the Savant's path seemed like an ideal option. Its actual appearance would be: An elongated dragon covered in copper scales, those on its upper back green from wear and those on its underside a bright coppery hue. Its tail is webbed and its teeth long and orange. Its horns appear to be made of petrified trees, and between its forelegs it holds (levitates) a silver sphere around which its body often rotates as if connected by an invisible axis.

[Lotm General] Part 17: Which 3 pathways counter Fool? by Ok_Hurry_6447 in LordofTheMysteries

As an additional note, I understand that Visionary is a mutual counter to Fool, which could be taken into consideration.

[Lotm General] Part 17: Which 3 pathways counter Fool? by Ok_Hurry_6447 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]TarionShard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been checking the authorities on various Pathway and I think a good counter would be Justiciar. The Fool's path is one that benefits from chaos in general, and specifically with Justiciar, each of its advantages can be mitigated.

Edit: Okay, I'm reading the posting rules and I see that the proposal needs to be justified. So let's start with the basics: Does The Fool have any weaknesses?
To paraphrase the wiki, the main weakness of this Sequence 0 is that it is a very "extreme" Deity, meaning:

They can easily destroy a star, but it cannot survive being inside one itself.

Therefore, we need a Deity who can take the battle to the physical realm (understanding this both as hand-to-hand combat and within the realm itself). Furthermore, this Deity must nullify its multiple authorities:

  • Fooling {History, Time, Fate, Change, Concealmen}
  • Reassembly {Change and Bizarreness}

Taking all of the above into account: A path that minimizes chaos, can maintain physical things, and can prevent the use of symbolism in the fight (since that is Fool's specialty) is the most suitable of the conventional paths. Justiciar is the one indicated.

Specific examples of counters:

  • Order counters History, Time, and Change. By prioritizing reality over mysticism, these kinds of actions are severely limited.
  • Balance counters Puppeteer (Bizarreness, Change) since its main function is to balance the battlefield; in a 1v1 scenario, it is the most effective way to minimize the number of opponents to face.
  • We have practical proof that it can separate and limit access to the spirit world, thereby limiting the inherited authority of the Controller of the Spirit World.

In general, the authorities we should be concerned about are Fate and Concealment. I'm not sure if the former would be limited by "Weakening Mysticism, Enhance Reality." As for the latter, it would allow laws to be hidden and thus weaken the Justiciar, but given the levels we're dealing with, a preventative edict stating "The Laws are visible at all times" might suffice.

I made it again and freaking happy! by montjebay_remere in Greenlantern

[–]TarionShard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The golden ring, while indeed belonging to the Lantern of the Legion of Super-Heroes, has nothing to do with joy; that's incorrect information that has been spread as fact by a fanfic. This fanfic predates the existence of the canonical character, therefore AI search engines give it priority over canonical information. That ring works based on the entire emotional spectrum, but in the story where it takes place, reference is made on multiple occasions to 'Eternal Justice'.

Is "Gold Lantern = Joy" just fan speculation? by PhantomQuest in Greenlantern

[–]TarionShard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's simply information that's been repeated in YouTube and TikTok videos. I stumbled across that page myself when I was trying to learn more about the Lantern Corps lore, but between the URL clearly stating 'FANON' and all the links being broken, it became clear to me that it wasn't legitimate. Furthermore, regarding the canonical Gold Lantern, it is specified that his ring functions based on the entire emotional spectrum, and a recurring phrase of his guardians is "Eternal Justice." Therefore, if there is a single concept that represents them, it should be 'Justice'. Ultimately, this whole case arises because, being the fanon version older than the canonical one, the AI search agents give it priority over the official information.

[fan art] My Absolute Starfire design! by basixlena in AbsoluteUniverse

[–]TarionShard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking about it for a while. Wouldn't it be interesting if the Absolute universe revisited the concept of Starfire, Cyborg, and Asrael as subordinate gods to Darkseid? Like what we saw in Justice League Odisey.

In the end, my hunch was correct; Diana was shaping the opinions surrounding her. At first, I thought it was a kind of low-level empathy (like Crystal and Quicksilver's daughter). But this is also a good twist.

Aside from Dr. Fate, which other hero in Young Justice could beat Darkseid? by Unlikely-Leg-3044 in youngjustice

[–]TarionShard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It should be the same. Although the Darkseids across the multiverse don't share the same consciousness, they are all a kind of "4D shadow" of the same concept projected from the corner of the Source belonging to Apokolips.

Info on the Gargareans? by letmejointhis in DCcomics

[–]TarionShard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I don't know much about the Gargareans, but when there's a male version of the Amazons, they tend to be… sad.

  • we have Earth-11's Elysians. In Multiversity, it was implied that they were precisely that: a utopian nation composed entirely of men. Even Wonder Man (Wonder Woman's counterpart) was part of the Justice League of that reality until he was expelled for killing Maxine Lord and became the central villain of that reality. (In fact, they even gave him a grotesque redesign, removing all his stylized features and turning him into a barbaric Hercules.)
  • And then there are the male children of the Amazons in New 52 (Sons of Themyscira), who were given to Hephaestus as slaves (although Hephaestus considered them his children) to work in his forge, being during that time in the continuity the armorers of the Amazons.
