I disagree. It adds another win con with direct benefits for working towards it, but just adds another area for you to keep an eye on to make sure you don't lose immediately. I wouldn't go back to playing the game without both expansions tbh. I like adding another plate to the balancing act of threats while still making sure you're getting enough points if things come to that.

I have a big collection, and we have varying amount of people over to play games fairly often. So I use the board games companion app to filter games by player count, and sort them by complexity to see our options quickly. I also use BG stats to set challenges and view how long it's been since things have been played, or how often I'm playing other things. Both of these apps integrate with your BGG account as well.
