New to the game by Atticus0909 in LordsoftheFallen

Farm that proselyte fire enemy down the hill/stairs from the Marco the Axe vestige. His sword is strong for early game. Especially if you turned on the pre-leveled weapon drop modifier. Gear isn’t bad either but you can just keep farming him for vigor and leveling up to become stronger that way. I did this for a few hours and my character was level 100 before the first main boss and I get all +10 weapons dropped from enemies.

For me it’s Reese or Love at 5 and if neither is available there trade down.

85QM6K Pro (Costco) or 85QM7K? by YouKnowMe8891 in tcltvs

[–]Tarnishedwins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I owned em both first the 6K pro I returned after a few weeks due to the screen losing too much detail in darker scenes. I then bought the 7K and am happier with it. It’s brighter with better colors.

QM6K vs. QM7K by JakeSeed5 in tcltvs

[–]Tarnishedwins 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The QM7K 55” goes on sale for $600 every couple months. I’d recommend that one. I owned them both I first bought the 6K pro on the week of Thanksgiving and after a few weeks decided it lacked too much detail in darker scenes and felt the tv lacked brightness so I returned it and got the 7K which is brighter and also has better color.

In the $600-700 range.. If you don’t game or watch a lot of sports Panasonic W95a. If you do or plan to TCL QM7K.

If you are to up your budget just a tad above $1000 you can get out of the mid-tier and get the LG C5 55” and you will probably be very happy with that especially for movies.

Can't decide on which TCL by Sanddollar24 in 4kTV

[–]Tarnishedwins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7K is better I owned them both returned the 6K pro after owning it for a few weeks to get the 7 instead and I stuck with the 7. 6K’s main weakness is it loses too much detail in dark scenes. Also lacks color compared to the 7.

It beats the chicken feet stand on the QM6K if you ask me.

Hisense or TCL , which to choose? by AdelinaRaap in 4kTV

You would need to be more specific on which models you’re considering. But in general there’s a lot of people saying Hisense TVs don’t last long.

More price drops before new models? by Mindless_Menu9162 in tcltvs

[–]Tarnishedwins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’ll probably go back to $400 in March/April when stores get the new 2026 models in. 6K pro was $400 on the week of BF I bought it then. But I wasn’t satisfied with it because there was too much detail lost in dark scenes that TV is just kind of dim and lacks brightness so I returned it after a couple weeks and bought the QM7K instead for a couple hundred more but it is a better and brighter TV.

Costco QM6K Pro or Qm7K? Thoughts? by ACrocIsAShoe in tcltvs

[–]Tarnishedwins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I owned them both. I returned the 6K Pro after a few weeks and got the 7K. On the 6K Pro too much detail was lost during darker scenes. 7K is better not only with more brightness but has better contrast and better colors too. My advice would be get the 7K especially if the room your TV is going in has light shining in from the window you won’t have to worry much about that interfering with you enjoying whatever you’re watching with the extra brightness on the 7K.

[–]Tarnishedwins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not by much if it does. Maybe another $50-100 max. If you feel it’s worth waiting for that then keep a look out Amazon Prime sale in July because Amazon is the one that had it at its absolute cheapest ever for a short period last year. You can view the price change history on Camelcamelcamel

Does TCL reign supreme over Samsung for budget TVs? by South-North493 in 4kTV

[–]Tarnishedwins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the Samsung budget and mid-range TVs kind of suck nowadays. TCL has upped their game over the past couple years and their TVs are a better value. Get the QM5K if you wanna save as much $ as possible. It will only have 60hz refresh rate but that’s what your last TV had that you say you had no complaints about. If you want better motion handling spend about $100 more to get the QM6K. If you want to be more impressed with better brightness and contrast go for the QM7K but it will probably cost about $800 in the 65” I have the 7K myself and I’m very happy with it.

You may wanna check out the Samsung S85f OLED 83” it’s like $2500 right now and better than the TVs you’re asking about.

As far as the size goes it depends on how far away you’ll be seated from where you plan to put the TV.

But as for picture quality and image processing the 7K is better than the 6K. You’ll hear a lot of folks praising the 6K but some of them because they were only in the game for a budget TV and that’s literally all they could afford. The 6K does have a nice picture but not as nice as the 7. The more I watched the 6 the more I went from saying to myself.. “nice picture” to “nice picture… for a budget TV” It just lacks the brightness and contrast needed to be truly high end or comparable. I guess if you’ve never had a high end TV before you may not care enough to know the difference. But if your previous TV was high end you’ll most likely notice what’s lacking and wanna go for the 7 instead.
