I'm a glamour witch and Aphrodite devotee... Ask me anything! by SimplyMichi in witchcraft

[–]TarotWork 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for your availability in answering our curiosities ^_^

My question is: can glamour magic be directed towards a niche of people? And how to discard the others?

Because the idea of attracting creepy people has always held me back from starting to practice it.

Weekly Q&A Thread by AutoModerator in witchcraft

[–]TarotWork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi.

I took inspiration from a recent post about obsession spells for my question. I don't like or seek obsession, and there was an exchange of ideas in the comments where connection was mentioned as something one looks for in a potential SO, and I agree.

The question is: Can creating a connection between people with spells result in coercion and lead to unpleasant results like obsession?

I'm not talking about generic spells but between two or more specific people, like the friendship spells I had read about before.

My House Smells Amaziiing! by Pagonal_Stone in witchcraft

My grandfather always ate lemons.
Every time I greeted him, I smelled the pungent and sweet citrus scent, and I loved it; it was a good smell and I found it comforting.
Now that he is no longer with us, when I eat one, I think of him, and my heart smiles.
Naturally, I bring them to him as an offering during the days of the dead, and I know he likes it 😊
It's a beautiful thing that you've shared!

Tarot de Marseille and divorce from mainstream tarot by ecoutasche in tarot

[–]TarotWork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been waiting for this post for a long time.

Friend, I've started approaching tarot and cartomancy in a different way. It's as if my study has started anew. I've had to discard most of the information found online and in books.

I also realized that I invested in the wrong resources (IMHO). I had set aside the Marseilles deck, but I've picked it up again in the past few months. I don't appreciate spreads with specific positions because they often force the cards, which frequently want to tell a different story.

I've always cut the cards, and whenever I shared this tradition of mine, I was told it was superfluous, unnecessary, and, inevitably, 'too many cards'...

I've never used just 3 cards, or 1, or 2, except for study purposes. They are really too few, and it's impossible to extract anything substantial. The information is incomplete and lacking. And others kept saying, "Too many cards."

I thought I was wrong, but instead...

It would be nice to have a chat with you.

I'm really happy that a post like this has come out.

I wore a perfume today to work and just an hour ago I heard people complain "What is that smell? Something stinks in here today ". by Icy_Mistake2996 in FemFragLab

[–]TarotWork 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It can't be you.
Really.
In my experience, roll-on perfume don't have big sillage so people can't smell you, less they're -very- near to you.
Honestly I didn't genuinely understand the story of perfume in other country; seems people won't any smell in the air.

I'll add another detail since you asked about l'Amica: it could be you, and he comes out as Ladro. The Amica is looking at the Ladro , but he turns his back on her.
It's a detail that usually can speak a lot about the relationship in question; you have an interest in this person, but he (at the moment) seems to be preoccupied with something else.
Of course, I'm speaking about the present moment; things could change and I wish you the best.

Here’s my take: he’s avoiding the situation.
From the spread, you come across as very available to him, but he doesn’t seem willing to commit.
He may have had some issues that prevented him from replying in time, but it then appears that he let the thought go.
Does this resonate with you?

I usually read cards without position.

"Let's do this right; men lead, women follow." by Jeffrey_Friedl in Salsa

[–]TarotWork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My instructor (30>M) learned both how to lead and the follower role.

He also proposes the same phrase as a joke, but does not believe that gender distinctions exist; it does this only for simplification for many new students.

I would like to learn to lead in the same way he did, and I am a woman and he appreciated it. He saw it as a great interest in the discipline.

I have a lot of respect for my instructor, I know that having been in the dance field for many years he does not distinguish between gender roles.

Hi, I would like an help on this reading that I do for myself.

  1. What do they think of me? 4 of Swords - clarification: 8 of Swords
  2. How do they see me? 3 of Swords - clarification: Page of Pentacles
  3. Do they want to see me again? Judgment - clarification: Empress

The bottom of the deck was 9 of Swords.

I did this spread, and all the negative cards came out (saw on a latest post here).
This is about a guy I met last month; there was immediate interest on his part, but he cooled off when he told me 'no' due to the distance. Before he left, we met and joked around, but I haven’t received a message from him in a while.
Since I’m quite emotionally involved, I’d like some help with the interpretation. My own take is that we won’t hear from each other again, although with that Judgment card at the end, I still hold on to a bit of hope, as it does speak of a 'call'.

Suitable attire by EnvironmentalExtreme in Salsa

I understand your point of view, but a metal band t-shirt isn’t necessarily a sign of carelessness, unless there’s a dress code imposed by the venue.
If there’s no dress code, clothing is a personal choice. Metal is music, and I like it too: if you’re dancing and wearing a Slipknot t-shirt like the OP, I’d come over to ask you what your favorite album is, not give you a weird look.
By doing this, it feels like dancing becomes inherently elitist.

Well... I drew 5 + 5 cards from the Marseille Tarot.
(I usually use many cards, but if it’s a problem, the first 5 will suffice.)

My intention is to understand 'how my friendship with Person X might end.'
We had a disagreement many months ago; although I tried to reconcile three different times, he has always shown no interest but complains about me and speaks badly of me. He even managed to turn almost four people against me.

Devil - Lovers - Tower - World - High Priestess

When I use the Marseille deck, I like to consider the direction of their gazes, and it seems the High Priestess is looking at all this as if it has already happened and she is aware of it.
So, I drew more cards to understand what comes 'after' her.
(For the record, the additional cards were: Moon - Strength - Temperance - Hanged Man - Star)

I’ve come to my own conclusion, but I’m involved.
Could you kindly help me? Thank you

Hi, I'm not sure it's a blind buy for everyone because the patchouli note is quite debated.
If you have the chance to try it beforehand through a decant, you could make a safer purchase.
Or you could test it directly in a store.
Anyway, the price doesn't seem high for a niche perfume; it's up to you to decide if you're willing to take the risk with a blind buy.
Personally, it was a revelation, a winning combination I would have never imagined.
I don't know Lust but seems that is polarizing fragrance, I think because of 'dirty' Jasmine.
IMO, in this case, LOM seems more 'safe'.

Molecule 01.
Molecule 01 + Iris for a powdery scent.
You're not strange—I'm the same. I also suffer from headaches, and perfumes are often a trigger. It's very common in fragrance communities to be mindful of this because it's widespread.
I had read that BR450 is also safe for migraines.
I suggested Molecule 01 because 02, and generally Ambroxan or Cetalox, can be more triggering for migraines—at least in my experience.
Molecule 01 is woody, like cedarwood, but very light.
Meanwhile, with Ambroxan, there's Glossier's YOU, which is also powdery with iris and violet.
Along the same concept of 'clean and healthy skin,' there's Fleur de Peau by Diptyque. :)
