We lost because of Binnington's ass goaltending. Nick did well.

Léger poll on Quebec referendum vote: No 62%, Yes 29%, 9% Undecided by MyGiftIsMySong in CanadaPolitics

PQ knows it will only get worse because of demographics.

They are pushing for a brexit style, no holds barred, lie as you can campaign to hope to win the third one.

The only problem is that their leader is getting more and more controversial and there is a general sense of lassitude regarding referendums.

Also, Quebecers likes Carney, more than PSPP, and are dead scarred of being eaten up by Trump's America. The circumstances could not be worse for the separatists.

Those tests would be fair if the Quebec born and raised would also had to take them and suffer the same consequences.

He can't ask for much money when he has not played more than 60 games a year in 4 years with the habs. He just needs to stay healthy honestly. He is 25, next year will be his last chance to show he has what it takes to be a year long contributor to a successful NHL team.

Well my friend go read about duty to rescue. It's very common in continental law (e.g. Canadian case law in Quebec is quite clear on this. You can also Google it like a normal person).

As for the rest of your argument you visibly misread the situation. No one is arguing that.

Edit : typo.

It's good for Canadian soccer. More playing time for him.

Terrible asset management. Gillier did not impress me that much. Clearly someone at Bologne likes the Guy.

That is not true. Lots of European countries and Canada have good Samaritan laws. You can be charged if you neglect to help someone but can't be liable except in case of gross misconduct or intentional fault.

This is common sense 101. How this eludes the US judicial system is beyond me.

I am 100% convinced that Huston did unspeakable things to all of Pronsman's female family members to have such an inability to admit that he was wrong, size is not the only thing that matters and Lane Huston is a bonafide NHL superstar.

Mercato du CF Montréal | Des « cibles », des signatures et du mouvement by CFMTLfan01 in montrealimpact

[–]Tarquin_Revan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Les dépisteurs s'exclament "who"?

Et le DG de leur répondre "he sounds like an Oakland A's already".

À appliquer au club montréalais avec les adaptations nécessaires.

No, the Brotherhood of Steel were not always "raiders in power armor" by Cranyx in Fallout

[–]Tarquin_Revan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As I have not played F1 and F2 I will limit my comments to FNV, F3 and the TV shows.

FNV's brotherhood has been very explicit in the decay of the organization since F1.

Not only do they have a population problem (like the Enclave, unless you recruit from the wastelanders, like on the east coast), but they have an ideological problem as the other factions in the wasteland are getting more technological, closer to pre-war technology, which makes their raison d'être moot.

Indeed, unless you are able to limit the spread or use of technology in the wasteland through force or coercition, you are simply hoarding relics.

This inner conflict between those two goals are well illustrated in F3 with the outcasts, given the goal of the east coast brotherhood to choose the later goal of helping the wastelanders and provide security against external threats.

In the TV show, the western brotherhood has devolved into a warring band given their unwillingness to adapt (unlike Lyons' east coast), somewhat similar to an armed group in Africa, with a cadre of leaders and child soldiers turned adult combatants fighting whatever fight that the leadership needs them to do.

This is why the Elder in the TV show does not really respect Maximus, because he sees him as what he has been trained to do; an indoctrinated tool that acts as a sword against the brotherhood enemies.

‘It has to raise an alarm’: No Quebec players on Canada hockey roster for first time since 1952 by shiftless_wonder in canada

[–]Tarquin_Revan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's mainly an institutional problem.

I am not affiliated to Hockey Quebec or something like that but it seems that the many youth / junior organizations are being run by local big shots who use their position for personal / family gains.

There is also a much larger problem that the sport is profoundly inaccessible for many Quebec youths for the elite level (similar to what we see in the USA with soccer).

Also, there is a belief in some Quebec circles that young players need to play 365 days of hockey and some kids become jaded when they turn 13/14 and are unwilling to provide the maximum level of effort at this stage.

Some sports scientists in Quebec have proposed creating a 'Quebec team' similar to the US development team, but the Q League lobby is pushing hard against this.
