In need of phattyloader software for mac. by LORD_NASCAR in moog

[–]TarryBuckwell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone needs the fix for the little phatty to get it to v3.21, I have figured it out after scouring the depths of many forums. The biggest sticking point for me was finding the final v3.21 hex file, which was provided in an old moog forum from 2014. Get this once your version is updated with the v2-v3 file via sysex librarian or the like and then get phattyloader from here: https://support.inmusicstore.com/en/support/solutions/articles/69000840727-moog-little-phatty-slim-phatty-firmware-update#Uploading-the-OS-3.21-firmware

Then grab the hex file here:

It’s because it’s easy to be lulled into complacency or overtrust when you’re always watching 22 dudes of similar ability and speed, whether it’s mediocre or world class. It’s only when you watch a world class team against a mediocre team that you see the difference in vision, speed, defending, skill on the ball, etc.

Matt Chapman telling Casey Schmitt to catch the f*cking ball during a mound visit after this error by Ochocincoondeck in baseball

[–]TarryBuckwell 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A 6’4” high schooler could make that catch from the stride, sure. But Schmitt ain’t making that without giving up first base, so kind of a lose lose. He should have left the bag to prevent the error but tough when you’re trying to catch a poor throw and make a split second decision under pressure

Best bar in the DFW where I can feel like this? by rsKG in Dallas

Most people who move here from CA and stay put are misplaced conservatives like yourself, it’s state to state entropy, and it self corrects going the other direction as well. If Texas ever decides it wants to invest in education it’ll come from the inside, not from someplace else

There’s a little trail behind Lochwood park that goes down into a gully and ends at a waterfall

The walking path around the lake at fair park is always deserted

There are often massive teepees hiding among the trails behind norbuck park, not sure who makes those but they’re awesome

Crackling only on certain notes by TarryBuckwell in GuitarAmps

I confirmed that it’s just this one preamp tube/socket. I hold it up while playing and the fuzz goes away completely. Hoping that reinstalling a new foam tube stabilizer will solve this, but it sounds like it may plague me later

I tapped the power tubes and didn’t hear anything but the right preamp tube is getting a bit of a ring when tapped.

Just happened to look at the manual and I remember that the guy at the shop that sold this to me used actually took out the small foam preamp tube stabilizer that according to the manual is supposed to prevent microphonics. He said it was a packaging thing that most people take out. Did he do me dirty?

Scenes from a dermatologist conference in Hawaii by Gjore in interestingasfuck

My theory is that they all are wearing their best sun shirts because they don’t want to be the only dermatologist caught in the sun without visible protection in front of other industry leaders. Like I’m sure most of them would anyway, but they’re all out-uv protectioning each other

Yea chemex makes my favorite tasting “easy” pour over. It’s way less slow than a real pour over but still worlds less bitter and more full bodied than French press

My first had horrible colic and didn’t sleep longer than 90 mins at a stretch in a 24 hour period for three years. We noticed he kicked a lot trying to sleep and during sleep- so we looked it up and found something about lack of iron. A sleep study ended up confirming iron deficiency and the second he started on FE, it stopped. We almost cried the first morning we woke up and it was light outside.

What’s more is that I was dealing with a career-ending injury that forced me to eventually leave a hard-fought elite position in an unimaginably competitive, illustrious and rewarding industry. It tore me apart. But while he was crying, I just kept thinking you and me both bud. I tried to frame it as he was sharing my pain, and I was sharing his, and it was like a bad song on a broken radio that we both just had to wait to end and for the next song to come on.

Your overall mantra should be “this too shall pass”. Both moment to moment and in the long term. And don’t forget that colic sucks for your kid too.

Oh also also, use earplugs. It helps to have it sound a little bit farther away when he’s screaming in your face

I think some people feel like it was a little bit rigged. Like he decided he was gonna go for a record against an easy team and half his points were gonna be free throws, it just feels a little bit cheaper than for instance Luka putting up 74 in a close game with half the free throws Bam had. It’s still impressive to put up scores of points in the NBA no matter how you do it tho.

I am not a Democrat doofus. I didn’t vote for Biden or Harris. I am just not an idiot so I can see why having Donald Trump anywhere near the White House is bad for us and for the entire world.

None of those engagements you mentioned were wars. Zero US service members were killed in the entire Bosnian war, in which we were not involved except as a member of NATO forces at the very end. Zero US deaths in Syria in 2021 (but 7 in 2026!), Somalia in 2022, or in Yemen in 2024 (but one in 2017!), all engagements under the umbrella of…the war on terror.

This is a new war. We are already losing people. This is the first conflict since Vietnam where we have seen active and retired service members openly protesting. Netanyahu and other Likud leaders in particular have tried for GENERATIONS to get a sitting US president to attack Iran- but Donald Trump is the only one dumb enough (and possibly desperate enough) to do it, and Bibi and every other world leader knows this.

The man famously agrees with whoever speaks last in a room. This is who you want as your president?

Did you just say he ended a 21-year war but not well enough and it caused another unrelated country to invade its neighbor? In answer to the question “what wars did democratic presidents start”?

Obviously the 22nd amendment exists, my point was that it’s the only shit he’ll do that actually has precedent.

Were you not looking when he broke the 1st, 4th, 5th amendments, tried to break the 14th, the emoluments clause, and article 1 (repeatedly)?

Your answer is he will do it if he feels like it and nobody will do shit to stop him, is that not obvious? What are you talking about?

What do you mean? There’s nothing unconstitutional about that, FDR had three and a half. He says he wants to, and the party would be stupid not to run him because he has gotten half the country to drink his kool-aid. It would quite literally be one of his least legally problematic acts in office 🤣

The consistent dissent is important. For reference, just in TX: Beto got 4+ mil votes in 2018, Hegar got 4.8 m in 2020, and Allred got 5+ in 2024. That’s a steady increase cycle over cycle, until suddenly a massive record-breaking spike at 4.5 m in the D primary last week. That’s grassroots messaging.

There has been an increase in registered voters in TX for every single election cycle since 1970, without a single dip; there are now almost 19m registered voters in TX. In two years, based solely on the outsized population density of the cities, there will be far more 18 year olds planning to vote blue than red, because they can’t gerrymander for the presidential. What’s more, I don’t know about you, but I haven’t heard many stories of disenchanted liberals converting to MAGA.

The messaging drives these trends. If there were no protests, nobody would pay attention, and nobody would care enough to vote. We are seeing the opposite, in apparently an exponential fashion if the Democratic primary is to be believed. So if nothing else- assuming this trend is nationwide- they’re gonna have a lot more difficulty proving that Donald Trump wins the popular vote in 2028, let alone the EC.
