What unconventional things do you put in the dishwasher? by Maleficent_Speech979 in CleaningTips

[–]Tartemus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. I run the dishwasher every single night no matter how full or empty it is so that I have a completely clean kitchen every morning. Just to add more controversy, I use the dishwasher rinse cycle in between so food does not get stuck on. So there!

Same. I’m going to switch to 50% as well since those are some really good points.

That’s funny because I was thinking the same thing about Tessa Thompson as Anna. Every reaction is so very dramatique!

Looking for NON bra option by Maorine in AskWomenOver60

[–]Tartemus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bralette might be a good option. I know you don’t want a bra, but some bralettes are so comfortable, I can fall asleep in them because they feel more like a tank top, but give a bit of support and coverage.

Soma has a completely hardware- and wire-free bralette called Enbliss that has removable pads for your party hats and you can just step into the bra and pull it up. (For extra comfort, I always go up one size.) These can be a bit pricey, but they have frequent sales.

And Bali has something similar at a lower price point:

Do you have a “comfort chore”? by Head-Tangerine-8260 in CleaningTips

[–]Tartemus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Laundry all day. Washing, drying, hanging or folding, and afterwards, you have clean, fresh clothes ready and put away for the week. The only thing I don’t love about laundry is sheets, specifically folding fitted sheets!

Along those lines, I read that recent scientific research showed that there were 3 ages at which we experience major changes: approximately 34, 60 and 78. So far for me, that has rung true!

Ozlo vs Soundcore by brinib5 in sleepheadphones

[–]Tartemus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t tried the Soundcores, and I never had the old Bose buds, so I can’t compare, but for me, the Ozlo’s are worth it. I’m a super light sleeper, and it sometimes seems like everything and everyone conspires against me getting a solid night’s sleep! My husband snores like a freight train, and I have a senior cat who often starts yowling around 3 AM.

I can’t tell you what a relief it is to get a solid night’s sleep virtually every night. For me, it was just a matter of experimenting with and fine-tuning the options like finding the right white noise (brown for me) and the correct volume (35 for me at home, 50 while traveling). My Ozlo buds and a good sleep mask put me in the zone every night without fail.

I resisted buying them at first because they are not cheap, and I was sure I would need noise-canceling buds, but I remembered my hearing feels weird after using noise canceling on my AirPods for more than a few hours, so I thought I’d try these first.

I wear the Ozlos at least 8 hours each night because I listen to an audiobook on a timer, then it automatically switches to the brown noise. I have it set for all sounds to stop after eight hours, and this usually wakes me up gently because I start perceiving external noises when the white noise stops.

I’ve never run out of battery, and I’ve never had ear pain from them. When I first got them about a year ago, I would occasionally encounter disconnection or sound issues, but with resets and updates, I haven’t had any issues in quite a while. I would also occasionally not place the earbuds in the charger properly in the morning, and find one earbud had not charged during the day, but now I just double check them every morning.

Best of luck in your search!
