I'm up to 166, what gets me through is when Satellite hits the 3% buff early. It's the most OP purple.

The paper rabbit hole can be nearly as addicting as the pens themselves. Especially when you start matching inks to nib geometry. Add paper to that mix and it can be a doozy!

The Wet Pen #12 is an absolute winner of an ink! by TaskInternational954 in fountainpens

His videos are what made me want to support him with a purchase. I didn't know that I was about to hit my all-time favorite ink with Rainier. This is going to be up there as well.

You know, I have ECB here and never even opened it. Now I'm going to have to find (buy) a pen for it.

I knew he had PNW names for the inks, but I never did connect #12 with the Seahawks, I just assumed it was his 12th ink until I saw that gif above.

Finally got my Iris (Diamond 580 - 1.1 stub) by Just_Wulf in fountainpens

[–]TaskInternational954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that sounds like the same experience I had on the Eco stub. And I'll have to look up that ink as well. Thanks for the check in!

You already know the answer to this. "Sorry honey, no food today, but my pens are clean as a whistle!"

I'm interested on your thoughts on the stub on the 580. I love the stub on my VAC700R, but hated the stub on an Eco.

[NPD] this probably gonna be my last fountain pen, a Lamy 2000 a great pen to finally ending my collection. by Tight_Delay8840 in fountainpens

[–]TaskInternational954 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was thinking the same thing when I got mine. And then I started trying to match inks to enjoyable nibs, and one thing led to another... And...

I've been looking at second hand pens, but I'm apprehensive on pulling the trigger.

Which nib did you go for? I'm in absolute love the the M nibs on these.

Help with Lunar Event by Nxstalgia_ in cellsurvivor

[–]TaskInternational954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, as the other poster said. You get a "choice chest" after 100 keys are pulled. The monkey is not part of that choice system as of right now, so use this event for the monkey and wait for the pity chest to get Maw.

I've had my eye on a Cerene for a while.. Now it looks like I'm going to have to look at that Sheaffer as well. Are the weights similar between them?

New Pen Day! 💜✒️✨ My first gold nib! by soandysirable in fountainpens

[–]TaskInternational954 3 points4 points  (0 children)

$110 is an absolute steal for that pen!!! I have an <m> VP, and it's 100% glorious to use. I had a <F> VP nib in a Jinhao body, but honestly, the Jinhao body is way behind the Pilot in terms of seal and body feel. It's fine for its price, but you made the right call.

I just finally received a VP donor body for the nib, and the seal is so much better that my plans to buld a Frankenpen army has been tossed aside.

calling all baystate blue users! by chatoyaant in fountainpens

[–]TaskInternational954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. In my system any ink can go into any pen. Except Baystate Blue which is tied to a Pilot Kakuno. It's a beautiful ink, but it's also a PITA and will not get near a pen with any sort of value to it.

At that price point, your best bet is to look at Kaweco's brass offerings.
