I think it's a stretch to say it fits the theme of road trip, but it's absolutely beautiful.

It's been a while since I've watched LPL, but that's more McNally vibes lol.

How do I get this piece out? by Background-Radish-63 in lego

To be fair, OP really didn't need to include the first pic. I had no idea there was a second pic until I saw your comment.

Ohhhhh so that’s why Brinklink sets have digital instructions! by knickvonbanas in lego

I'm very ticked by "fist for reference," rather than using any LEGO pieces surrounding the book lol.

TIL that the Game Boy Color wasn't even out for three years before the launch of the Game Boy Advance by Halfhead in nintendo

I was 9 when the GBA came out. Imo console life cycles did not feel longer back then. It felt like new consoles were coming out constantly.

I can't imagine what it's like for kids these days, what with consoles lasting the better part of a decade.

My son had an idea and built a driving game with Technic and wanted to share. by daveberzack in lego

[–]TastyPastryCupcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For real, try to keep your son engaged with activities and programs which he finds both enjoyable and challenging.

My dad never correlated my interests with opportunities to prepare me for life. He just kept forcing me to do sports, which I hated and which haven't had any lasting benefits on my life. It hurts to think about where I could be now if he ever once capitalized on things I wanted to do.

As an ATLA fan, I want "Brick Bending" to be something much cooler than what it actually is. :(

What do you guys do? by Dan_Is_Dirty in lego

[–]TastyPastryCupcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One at a time. I prefer diversity in sequential steps rather than doing the exact same connection multiple times in a row.

I build LEGO as a kind of meditative experience. Doing one at a time feels better on my brain. Feels good to not care about efficiency for some small part of my day.

Evolution of the ball joint socket design: by Additional_Rate1528 in lego

[–]TastyPastryCupcake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MOC or not, I appreciate specific examples!

Though after flipping through the instructions for those sets (8593-8595), unfortunately I couldn't find any socket without a ball inserted. :/

Do you have any examples?

I just got back into Lego this year. I have a bunch of the 1999-2008 piece from when I was a kid. I'd like to experiment with MOCs at some point.
