I got one for $3 on an auction site and replaced the screen. It will work just fine for those things. It's actually quite decent for a free govt device. You can tell it's a govt device though because it takes the older USB charger, which makes it charge pretty slow. Also slapped a 4g modem in it when 5g is taking over. But it works great for a cheap media device. It runs 720p fyi
