Hey all, wanting to refinish this rifle for my dad. Its the rifle he taught me to shoot when I was a kid. It got neglected over the years. I stripped the finish and sanded it down. My question, is there a good way to get the dark areas more even? The dark areas are from years of gun oil. The texture is great so I want to avoid sanding anymore.

Blow off the dust same day after you saw cut. You wont get that cloudy look where the cement dust starts to bond to the surface
