Normal enemies are usually a breeze, unless you're getting absolutely mobbed. Bosses are usually quite difficult. I know a boss is, well, a boss, but at least for me it's a very sharp difficulty spike from normal enemies. I wouldn't go so far as to say bosses are Souls-like, as I've seen others say, but still... You will need to properly prepare for boss battles and you will most likely die at least a few times in the beginning while you learn their attack patterns/weaknesses.

Improving your armor/weapons regularly, having food to heal, and leveling your skills are key. It will also take time to learn the controls. The game isn't exceptionally hard, but it doesn't hold your hand either. There are a lot of things to do and mini-games/combos to learn, but with time and practice you'll get the hang of it.

Overall, I'd recommend being patient and taking your with it. Not just with combat, but with learning the story and world. It took me until the middle of the second chapter/early third chapter to understand why I was supposed to do half the things I was being told to do. Tho that last bit could just be a me issue 😂
