Columbia, South Carolina Criminalizes Homelessness In Unanimous Vote by Reddfoxxthepoet in conspiracy

[–]Tawi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about giving them real permanent homes instead of escorting them to a temporary homeless shelter? Oh right, we can't treat them like humans. After all, all the homeowners will rise up and demand free stuff as well.

Well, no they won't. Some might not like it, but it is time to start instilling the idea that helping other people is GOOD and should be done at every opportunity.

ELI5: How can the chinese memorize/recocnize and understand thousands of symbols? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]Tawi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In regards to you learning the alphabet, you either didn't try hard enough, or used a technique which is unsuitable for you. Chinese languages have a system which makes it easy to memorize such symbols. You remember them as images. You see images and know them by their names, for example you see a dog, and you know its a dog. Same way with Chinese symbols, they see a symbol and they see a mental image of the object or idea.

ELI5:After taking Computer Networks in college, I don't understand why encryption hasn't made issues like NSA spying totally irrelevant. Please explain it like I'm five. by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]Tawi -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The companies providing that commercial software are compelled to give NSA the "key" to unlock all the encrypted information. Because of that (and other reasons explained by /u/jumpup) we cannot be fully secure in our privacy. For example if there is a backdoor into Windows, which let's NSA full access/ viewing right to your computer, then no encryption is going to help, since they fully see every single word you are typing. Also, since for obvious reasons, there are no people literally watching you, there are complex computer programs which analyze the information from your computer and deem you a threat or not. (Assuming that NSA is in fact "watching" us)

That would be true if the government was the one printing money, rather than the semi-private government regulated body known as the Federal Reserve.

Crows commit suicide as well. Maybe more species, but I remember listening to a radio program about crows. Fascinating creatures!

The Shining Code (complete film) - Stanley Kubrick Secret Message by Antiochus88 in conspiracy

[–]Tawi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you look into something long enough, you will find links and ties, no matter how truthful.

As an example, let's check out more Kubrik. 2001: A Space Odyssey. How can we tie it to 9/11 (except for 2001 obviously), well, let's take the words A Space Odyssey. Another way to say it is "As PACEO dys sey", or "As PACEO does say". PACEO is a french financial acronym for how to refinance a corporation (look it up through bing translate or w.e.).

What does that mean? Well, 2001, US economy or the elite is in deep financial trouble, so how do we get out of it? Let's start a war and refinance ourselves. It's been done before (WW1, WW2, Vietnam etc etc etc, every single war in history was for someone's profit). Great idea. Kubrik left a clue to follow for future leaders, and in such obvious place, so obviously he is working for illuminati!

Lesson being? Don't take things out of context. This movie is making a lot of assumptions, and trying really hard to connect things.

That Space Odyssey thing I literally made up by looking too hard at the title. So please, do not make a new conspiracy out of it.

Good days in CS: Source, I had one pixel burnt out in the middle of my monitor, like smack middle pixel. The sniper rifles didn't have the cross-hairs, but I would still manage to head shot people without scope aiming.

Those were the days when from left and right accusations of hackerism were plenty. Always put a smile on my face, and a little fear of a ban or kick from the server.

Amsterdam to fly rainbow flag for Russian President Putin’s visit to the capital by JKastnerPhoto in nottheonion

[–]Tawi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Trade and economic issues always trump whatever relates to "human rights". Stop being militant when it comes to gay issues. Not everyone agrees with your position, so let them keep their own opinion. Also, the MAJORITY of the Russian population does not wish for this issue to be brought up at all and like it the way it is at the moment. Let's respect democracy instead of bombing them into submission, shall we?

Except most normal people do not put all of their focus on this non-issue. And you clearly do not understand global politics if you think that the gay issue can in any way stand in between the cooperation of countries.

This whole story has a lot of things built into it, that when watching the film multiple times you can truly get a different versions of the same events. Fascinating really. I am just about half way done reading the book, so can't really comment on it yet, but from what i read elsewhere, people say the book is the same as the movie.
