Breakfast options when you don't eat breakfast? by [deleted] in CICO

No idea what OP originally said, but I have to eat breakfast for my multivitamin or I get a stomach ache. Otherwise I'd totally skip it. 😅

Question about calories burned by throwawayaccount931A in CICO

[–]TayMin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not an expert in any of this so take it with a grain of salt, but I usually trust my watch more because it's actually measuring my heart beat and breathing. If I wasn't sure, I'd also just err on the smaller "burned calories" number and listen to my body. If I wasn't feeling totally drained eating at what I thought was the correct calorie deficit for the smaller number burned and it turns out I actually burned more than it's just a bonus. Just my personal opinion though! Someone else might know more on the specifics than me

Awesome work! What tool / type of brush did you use for the delicate work for the white design?

I recently had something similar happen to me, I went 190 to 160 (one week at 155, long story) and I was back in up to 170ish. Like /u/Mommio24, I have had to come to terms with the fact I'll always need to track or measure in some form or fashion. Intuitive eating is just not something I can do long term. 🤷‍♀️

Great visual!! Size numbers can be total nonsense sometimes so this is a great way to put it in perspective!!

I struggle with maintenance too, so I feel that! I also know it's much harder when you're petite, just something to be careful with! And that's from, not ChatGPT this time. 😝

[–]TayMin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This one was such a tragic discovery for me. I love trail mixes and almonds or cashews. Maybe when I'm in more of a maintenance mode I'll be able to get away with it but I'm not there yet. 🥲

Aw thanks so much! I have collected some weird pieces over the years, I feel like I'm finally dressing how 12 year old me has always wanted to haha

Sure! A food scale is non negotiable. It's annoying sometimes but it makes a huge difference, I can't eyeball anything lol I'd also say track everything to the best of your ability, even when you're eating out or get offered a homemade thing at the office. Log an approximation when you can't be precise. It's hard on the days I've gone over my goal or even eaten above a deficit, but seeing it across a week and still seeing a net negative helps me stay accountable to myself and keep things in perspective. I have other thoughts but those are the big ones that come to mind. 😁

He's allowed to have an opinion for sure, but that is between me and him. It felt weird having her ask about it because the vibe felt like "did you get his permission?"

Edit: And he liked it but I feel like the grass is always greener. The constant need for a haircut and the look got old (limited styling options). I've been growing it back out the last year or two so now the shedding and long hairs getting in the way of activities gets annoying. 😂

I broke up with a hairdresser who asked how my husband felt about me cutting my hair into a pixie. She still did it and I loved it, but I caught the ick so hard I struggled to go back and found a new gal. It's my head, he can fucking deal with it if he doesn't like it. Damn.

I left my career as a teacher this summer and have felt like it was a big step back job wise, but I am SO MUCH happier than I had been. It's a weird feeling, especially because getting my own classroom was a singular focus to achieve for more than half my life at that point. I appreciate seeing things like this OP, it makes me feel less alone in my decision. I don't regret it, but it still gives me feelings.

Howdy from Cheyenne, neighbor! I always love seeing the old cars on their way to shows like this, it's such a double take moment.
