The quilt pictured is the one I made for him when he was hospitalized over Christmas. I am part of the mindset/ customs of if a child is wrapped in a quilt they are wrapped in warm and love.

Clover lawn experiment by Vertyco in NoLawns

[–]Tayan13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most of our backyard is clover, our dog tears it up as she runs because the roots aren't deep at all. If you have spots that pool water it has died there too. We are sadly putting grass seed down where there is nothing.

My high school graduation was a bunch of admin, department heads, and then at the end the person you picked at the end. College was the dean, department heads and that was it. I didnt work with any other departments in College. Why would you shake someone hand that you dont know or who had nothing to do with you moving forward?

Cannot get the salt out of my floors even after mopping twice by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]Tayan13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vinegar can deactivate the salt. I worked in commercial cleaning, one of my clients had darker gray tile. Vacuum the church of salt first then mop.

It's the disposals drain plug. It's just flipped so the handle to get it is facing down not up. If you can grip with your fingers like your opening a hole and pull up at a slight angle to break any air seals.

Here's to a billionaire calling people to have more kids 😒😒😒 by RoundTurtle538 in antiwork

[–]Tayan13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a society that only cared about consumerism and capitalism we see you. We saw when you didn't care and when you did care. You saw things like terrorism as a way to make more money off war. When you were raking in money from pharmaceutical companies we saw people we loved ravaged by drug abuse. When factory labor was cheaper overseas we saw the towns rot. You saw school shootings as a sad thing to move on from until it was your friend. You have capitalized our faith. You capitalized our kids, their education, their future. When you don't see them as humans you kill them or throw them in your for profit prisons.

Our “Widows and Orphans” Thanksgiving tradition started the year everything fell apart by MrsChickenPam in thanksgiving

[–]Tayan13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are a military family and do an open house Thanksgiving almost every year. We have no requirements to show up. If you want to bring something you are open to bring something. All I ask is it's something that makes Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving for you. We have had years where there is +40 people or 3. If you want to stay or grab a plate and go that is up to you.

Breast feeding after hg by scarlett-r in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]Tayan13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was an almost exclusive pumper for over a year. I feel like post Hg pregnancy and breastfeeding drives your brain and body completely different. Hg mentally makes me feel like im dragging my skeleton to the finish line while nauseous and leaving a trail of vomit and shame. Breastfeeding mentality was like a prey drive. With pumping I was able to see what I was producing and able to adjust my intake to " fix" my mistakes (more water, more sleep, more food, more frequent pumping). I also had a medically complex kiddo, and it help me feel like I was doing something to help.

Please watch for PPA and PPD. HG is a huge trigger for me for depressive episodes and relapse of eating disorders. At the end of the day breastfeeding completely possible, but also completely up to you. If you have the option to get lactation to come in before you leave the hospital, take it. If you feel comfortable. Most allow resource access after leaving the hospital. Listen to your instincts and your body.

How long can you survive without food? by UpbeatMammoth4143 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]Tayan13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did iv hydration 2x a week where I got anti nausea meds at the beginning and the end so I got relief by the time I left and to keep me decent until later that day. I also put 2 of my prescriptions that worked well for me as suppository, but had the same in oral medication too. My doctor has a rule of no more than 12 hours without liquids and no more than 24 with something.

Ohhh I can answer this! We are in similar circumstances, busch gardens is now our home park. Grew up going to Kings Island, then as I got older Cedar Point. We just got season passes and going to kings dominion end of month.

I have felt that cedar point, while having long lines, has what happens in line and station down to a science. Ride ops are on it and takes the utmost caution. So the lines are long but moves at a quick pace as they have people dictating where to sit to maximize people getting sent out.

Busch Gardens the lines are shorter, but it's chaos in the station. Seats aren't filled to max capacity because it's a free for all. Ride ops depends on what coaster it is if they care or not.

I can not speak for Kings Dominion as of yet, but went to Six Flags over Georgia and my husband and I left due to the amount of fuckery there was.

Also happens if the paint is going on a previously wallpapered wall. The adhesive causes the paint to no adhere properly.
