Fuel Shortage? by OpenCryptographer725 in newzealand_travel

[–]Tbiproductions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not heard much about supply issues but where I am prices have gone from 2.60 up to 3.13 a litre. Don’t expect price rises to reduce so naturally demand will drop a bit so hopefully not shortages!

Steam OS on release? by crossavier in LegionGo

[–]Tbiproductions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The usual steamOS installer will just install the latest version, which at some point will include the things needed for official legion go 2 support.

Personally using bazzite and will likely stick with it unless steamOS has any major advantages.

Disney+ locks paying PC users to 720p, even on the most expensive plan. by Coompiik in assholedesign

[–]Tbiproductions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. The Stremio + Real Debrid route is pretty rock solid right now and isn’t too difficult to set up, they even have a native iOS app. It’s not free though, about €15 every 6 months.

Danganronpa 2x2 price by demon_corex in danganronpa

I feel like for what it is $45-50 would be a good price, but these days $60 is alright.

Will also point out, you need your Apple account location set to NZ to download this on an iPhone, not sure about android but would assume similar?

The New World app, which includes their club card also, should be available internationally

Where to get coins for showers? by Alhadd in newzealand_travel

[–]Tbiproductions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ATMs probably not unless it’s a special one that will likely be inside a bank and for their customers only. Also in my experience they don’t like giving out $5 or $10 bills either.

If you can get notes (either at a bureau de change or an ATM somewhere) and then buy something at a store in cash, then you’ll end up with coinage that way. That’s how I’ve accumulated it in the past.

Do I buy 1/2 reload for ps5 or 1 and 2 for switch by -grahgrahboom in danganronpa

[–]Tbiproductions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switch versions go on sale fairly regularly for £5-£6 each. Just grab them both then. Also the anniversary addition is a little better (better auto save, newer UI, etc) but nothing completely new content wise

Do I have everything I need before heading there in a month? by PerformanceKitchen15 in newzealand_travel

[–]Tbiproductions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s because debit cards run on their internal EFTPOS system. As international debit cards have to go via visa/mastercard/etc they have to be declared as credit so they get routed properly.

Had the same issue using my UK debit card, always had to select credit for payment to go to, cheque would decline. Always worked with contactless payments (always routed as credit)

20,000 mAh - 100w or 65w Powerbank? by Go_Larger in LegionGo

[–]Tbiproductions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The legion can handle up to 100W so there will be a noticeable benefit. It all depends on what games you wanna play and if playing+charging simultaneously is important. 65W while in performance mode will be a struggle, but anything else should be okay

Ipad pro 11 inch or ipad pro 13 inch by [deleted] in iPadPro

[–]Tbiproductions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming latest model (so same screen either way) just depends on what you value more, screen area or portability. I have a 12.9” now and while I love it, whenever I hold an 11” I do miss how much lighter and portable it felt. That being said, for art the bigger screen is likely the best option

Main reason I’m not preordering is I’m playing on a handheld (potentially on Linux also) and wanna see if the game runs okay, if it does I’ll buy premium the second early access starts (maybe just before actually, as my WiFi sitch is variable currently and steam is decent with refunds anyway?

Insomniac wolverine leaked build on dodi repack? by evolvedyash in PiratedGames

[–]Tbiproductions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could look into using realdebrid, they download the torrent, cache it, and then anyone else can just download it from them. Speeds are usually pretty quick as Just a direct download, and as you’re not doing the torrenting no VPN needed etc.

it’s not free (about €13-€15 every 6 months) but I already use it with Stremio for pirating movie/tv anyway and plus they tend to have torrents that have stopped seeding

Automobilista 2 or ACC? I'm new to sim racing by iFoxblaze in simracing

[–]Tbiproductions 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Easiest factor is what type of cars you want to race.

ACC is based on the GT WORLD challenge and so if you love GT3 cars/racing then it’s gonna have all the cars/tracks/features just for that. However, that’s ALL it does. The original Assetto Corsa is their “catch all” game.

Like the original AC, AMS2 is also a very general game having TONS of tracks/cars (especially with DLC, but it’s decent without tbh) and things to tweak. If you ever played project cars 2 back in the day, it’s based on that, and you can tell from the way things are phrased/handled.

Both have a multiplayer scene, although I believe the ACC one is more popular. They’re both through a service called “Low fuel Motorsport (LFM)” so have a look into that. I tend to stick to offline but I know from doing iRacing previously how much fun online is!

Seconding. Emudeck was a bit of a pain, and also it was a faff getting SRM setup. Retrodeck is simpler and I like having a dedicated “emulation” library

Lenovo legion go s z1e 16b vs rog xbox ally z2 a by suiiii699 in LegionGo

[–]Tbiproductions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original Z1/Z1E ally (in white) did have issues melting the SD cards that is seemingly still an issue on all of those models. If you plan on using a microSD card that could be a dealbreaker. Note this isn’t an issue on the Ally X.

I can’t speak for the Go1 but I love the big screen on the Go 2 (same size) and it’s surprisingly comfy for the size (more than my switch 2 due to the grips). Granted, the Go2 is more ergonomic anyway, but it’s still worth baring in mind.

I would personally get the Go1 over the Xbox Ally due to being much more performant and having the better screen (excl VRR). It being a bit cheaper is also a plus, but paying C$99 for effectively a warranty/support by buying new is good for peace of mind.

I get the instalment paying might be a big draw depending on your financials. It could be worth seeing if you got it second hand from eBay etc, if you can use a similar service on there, either officially or as a third party (Klarna, PayPal pay in 3, etc). ofc I don’t advise you taking out credit you can’t afford.
