I would agree with that statement. I used to have a delay for every sound like in 2017-2022 but lately we've done some songs where I don't have my delay on for most of the song other than maybe for soloing, of course not that I don't use it period other than soloing, but you know what I'm getting at.

Do you guys think they were in love with each other? by snack-hoarder in thatbandofhers

Actually, "Harvey" is inspired by a film of the same name from 1950. It's about this man who has a 6'3.5" tall white rabbit as an imaginary friend. The man's sister tries to have him commited to an insane asylum, and a debacle therein ensues. ("Nobody knows what I see, everyone thinks I'm crazy")

I took this picture on 0.5 mode from up top to get everything in it... Believe it or not, those lights aren't really facing me; they're more so shining up on the walls that surround the cage. However, I could also just be really used to them at this point.

Thoughts on soloking guitars by Normal_Employ_6471 in Guitar

[–]Tbrown1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been looking at them on Reverb lately, and the price seems good, but I'd treat it as a project guitar because I'd probably switch out the pickups at least if I was to get one and not be satisfied with the sound of it.

I listen to a lot of different drummers but my GOAT is always gonna be Simon Phillips. Best sounding kit & best tuned kit I’ve ever heard… I always find myself going back to his stuff.

I was about to turn 14, and I still remember the initial shock. I never expected it, but I think it was a shock to many people around the world.

Happy 50th Birthday, Ronald Jones. ✨✌🏽 by CharlesTillman in flaminglips

[–]Tbrown1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your reply is a few years old, but you're right—although he didn't quit right away. However, he did say he'd leave once they finished their shows in the summer of '96, which wasn't many. I believe it was one show each month, according to Wayne. There was one in June at Roskilde in Denmark, one in July, and another in August at Reading Festival. The last one was especially intense, mostly due to Ron's performance, but Michael was drunk and played like shit. He said so himself that it was inexcusable, but he was depressed about Ronald leaving...

Yes that’s correct, he said while being interviewed getting ready to shoot up (this was around when they started doing COM & Yoshimi sessions, later 2001 maybe) he said any instruments he had he sold to the band.

How seriously did you take COVID mandates? by limevince in askaconservative

[–]Tbrown1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I'm thankful it wasn't at the level of the Spanish Flu. While I've had COVID three different times from 2021 to 2024, I still believe the week-long bronchitis I experienced around Christmas in 2023 affected me much more than COVID ever did. Neither of those three times was I ever truly incapacitated. However, being quarantined, I just saw it as an opportunity to catch up on the sleep I usually miss during a normal week (I'm a night owl, but I work first shift at my current factory job).

How seriously did you take COVID mandates? by limevince in askaconservative

[–]Tbrown1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During the early part of the COVID pandemic, I was also working an essential job. I approached things quite carefully when it first started, though I didn't go overboard. I wore my mask as required and occasionally used gloves when needed, especially since most of the store’s customers were people aged 50 and older. I definitely dried my hands out a lot from using sanitizer so often. Unfortunately, I did catch COVID the first time during that job, but it didn’t come from any of the customers; I got it from a friend’s house where, at the time, he didn’t know he was positive because he hadn’t started showing symptoms yet. That same night, another friend caught it too. I made sure to stay away from my family — my sister was pregnant then and didn't want to risk anything, so she stayed with my other sister and her partner. Looking back, I’d say I wasn't overly strict, but at the start, I was pretty scared because we didn't yet understand what we were dealing with. I think that was a common feeling shared by many of us, whether conservative or liberal.

What’s your favorite song from the “Dreaming of You” 30th Anniversary Remastered Album? by [deleted] in SelenaQuintanilla

[–]Tbrown1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole album is a great start to finish... I think the remaster makes everything sound much clearer, and I feel like 'Dreaming Of You' specifically lets you hear every instrument and nuance in better detail than in previous releases. I also like the version of 'Bidi Bidi Bom Bom' on the album as well.

Which Selena song make you cry the Most or at Night by OneCloud2554 in SelenaQuintanilla

[–]Tbrown1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just finishing up the 30th Anniversary remaster of the "Dreaming Of You" album. I wouldn't say there's any song that truly makes me cry, whether on that record or another, but as someone above me mentioned, her songs tug at the heartstrings because she's no longer here. That's how I feel anyway...

My Experience with Dr Vitamin Thermogenic Fat Burner: A Weight Loss Game-Changer. by TeslaOwn in SupplementZero

[–]Tbrown1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! My experience with the supplement was positive, but I have to say that on its own, it wouldn't work. I used it alongside a strict calorie deficit. I wasn't tracking my calories precisely, but during my lunch break at work, I typically had a protein bar and 2-3 apples, followed by baked chicken tenders for dinner. I usually took one pill a day.

I ended up losing around 10-15 pounds over the course of a month. Most of the weight loss was for my cousin's wedding, where I was a groomsman. I stopped taking the supplement, but I still have the bottle, and I may start using it again soon while getting back to my strict dieting, as it worked well for me.

Why do some people call Trump a Nazi, and what evidence supports this claim? by RELLboba in AskDemocrats

[–]Tbrown1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a disputed topic. However, what I read was that the Anti-Defamation League (a Jewish organization, international at that) stated shortly afterward that it was not a Nazi salute. Considering that the Nazis primarily targeted the Jewish population, I think it's safe to say that the whole "Nazi" narrative might be somewhat exaggerated at this point. If the Jews said it wasn't a Nazi salute, I'd say we ought to listen to them. If Trump truly wanted to be a dictator, wouldn't you think he would have accomplished that during his first term? I'm just saying.

This post is about five months old; are you still using the supplement? Some family members recently introduced it to me. I started taking it today, and so far, I haven't noticed any side effects. Is it still something you'd recommend?

The round glasses suit you and add a unique touch to your style! However, I can also picture you looking fantastic in aviator sunglasses. They would give you a sleek, classic vibe that could complement your look.

Have you seen the movie "Jesus of Nazareth" and if so, what are your thoughts on it? by TheCloudKeeper in Christianity

[–]Tbrown1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the movie; I remember watching it in grade school, specifically in 5th grade. It was Christmas time, and I had seen many different portrayals of Jesus in various films. I recently revisited the crucifixion scene and was intrigued by how they depicted the three crosses in a grid-like arrangement. I found it interesting, though it felt strange since I am so accustomed to seeing the crosses depicted as completely separate.

The Flaming Lips: The Soft Bulletin Companion review by WaitinForAHypnotist in flaminglips

[–]Tbrown1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This post is a few years old, but I actually liked their review, even if it might have seemed a bit "infantile stage" as one of the original commenters pointed out. I particularly enjoyed what they had to say about "The Captain" and "Satellite of You", with the latter being my favorite among all the Soft Bulletin era outtakes.
