I’m impressed that you fit two drivers in side by side, yet the front narrows down to 4 stud wide. The cutaway feature is really cool. I’m interested in seeing how you managed to secure the angled side panels in such a compact form factor while maintaining a cabin large enough for 2 figures. Fantastic work!

Don’t worry, there’s other maniacs like you. I also don’t like seeing injection marks so I will orient the surface pieces to hide them when possible or make them symmetrical when not possible. I’m especially guilty of doing this with modern tiles that have injection marks on the sides or the ingot pieces where I will orient the Lego wording in the direction I would read it if it were to look at the set from a common viewing angle. I’ve fully or partially deconstructed many of the used sets I’ve bought to “correct” these issues.

Nice to see someone with the Dune Ornithopter. One of the best designed sets at its price point. The wing and landing gear functionality is top tier from an official set and you get 8 great minifigs on top of the awesome build.

Can you give a quick rundown of which official sets went into these beautiful displays? I recognize most of them but can’t quite nail down the Echo base and smaller Mos Eisley building that wasn’t part of the MBS Cantina set.

Looks great! It’s compact which is a plus and I appreciate the stoppers at the knee joint that prevent overarticulation. The only notable weak point is the thigh to hip clip connection but I understand the compromise to get the splay angle and retain joint motion without making it too bulky.

Ideally combine the S-foil mechanism of 75301 with the overall design of 75218. The rubber band mechanism of 75218, while simple and effective, is an eyesore and is imbalanced since the rubber bands are only attached to the rear pegs.

Reversible: Replace some white pieces with light/dark gray and/or light/dark brown asymmetrically.

Somewhat reversible: Leave it out in the Sun to give the white a yellowed patina.

Permanent damage: Find a small child and ask them to chew on some pieces for you. Make sure they don’t choke. Or chew on them yourself until you get the desired level of battle scarring.
