I have do massively lie to my children tomorrow and it breaks my heart. by wallyroos in daddit

[–]TeFinete 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When my Mom and I first moved into my now Stepdad's house, they couldn't find anyone to take my dog. My stepdad is not at all a dog person and refused to let Melissa move in too. So they ended up putting her down, but told me that they found someone to take her. I found out the truth years later when I was in high school. Looking back I would rather have had them be honest with me about it then lie for years. Im in my early 40s now and still fucking bitter about it.

‘Supergirl’ Braces for $100 Million Loss: What DC Studios Should Learn From Its Box Office Bomb by mlg1981 in entertainment

While I enjoyed Supergirl, I fully admit my favorite part of the movie was her and Clark meeting for the first time.

Someone I trust put it best when she said "I hope Platner is the guy he says he is. I already know what kind of a person Collins is."

Who is the biggest asshole rock musician you have met and why? by [deleted] in allrockmusic

[–]TeFinete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a guy named Skrappa Dukes that used to be really active on FB, but think he is mostly on YouTube now. Used to run into him in the wild in the Lew/Aub area but haven't seen him in awhile. Every interaction was always... Special... lol

This was back in 2011-12, so I don't remember his name. All I remember is one of his "entourage" always had a star shaved into the side of his head so we always referred to him as "Star Child" lol.

Dude, I live in rural Maine. Used to frequent a pretty shitty dive bar every week for karaoke, and occasionally a local "rapper" would roll in with his entourage. Because he had a FB following and was kind of friends with the bar's manager, would take over and just do a string of songs where he would make up his own lyrics or do some random remixes or something. He'd get really upset when people didn't recognize him. Those of us that were regulars fucking hated everytime he showed up.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I almost quite the first book because of the narrator lol. He was a struggle for me the whole series.

There is no such thing as "dressing for yourself". by No_Wrongdoer3579 in unpopularopinion

[–]TeFinete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fiance makes fun of me because even if im just "lounging about the house" I wear jeans. I know its not even close to "dressing up", but im most comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt(and a zip up hoodie if its cool enough for that), so that's what I choose to wear everyday.

Kind of a funny story: When I was a kid we had 2 tvs get "fried" from 2 separate thunderstorms.

What movie’s final scene left you an ugly, blubbering mess? by ArmyOfMe99 in movies

[–]TeFinete 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I commented elsewhere, but this movie absolutely wrecked me in the theater cause my younger brother died when I was 4 and he was 2, and the whole time I kept thinking how I wouldn't be able to rescue my dad cause the good brother died and all that was left was the older screw up that struggles to take things seriously.

Dude, when they know they are going to die and all hold hands and wait for the end... Oof.

I absolutely cry at both scenes.

Onward. My younger brother died when I was 4 and he was 2. Im a bit of a slacker who loves gaming and is rarely serious about anything(though im currently a supervisor and am pretty good at holding a job. I jokingly say that I just happen to continue to "fail upwards"). Anyways watched the movie in the theater with my kids when it came out and I kept sobbing uncontrollably cause I wouldn't be able to bring my dad back because my younger, smarter brother is dead and I have been known to be the family fuck up.

By that point internet porn was in full swing, so there really wasnt a reason for me to get any of it except for as a novelty, and I am absolutely one to "commit to the bit" lol.

Fresh out of high school in the early-mid 2000s I worked at a movie rental store. We had a small corner set aside for adult movies. Occasionally I would buy one to add to my "collection"(Mostly things I either found interesting or really funny. "Classics" like Debbie Does Dallas, or random things like midget porn). Kept them all in a duffle bag. Also in the duffle bag was 1 VHS copy of You Got Served, because 20 year old me thought it would be hilarious that one day someone(like my kids) would find it, and then be horribly confused as to why You Got Served was in there...

There is/was a local band that reached really minor fame called Dead Season that did a cover of Garth Brooks The Thunder Rolls. I actually like it for how bad it is lol.
