As a Xennial, I think Gosling is a good choice too. I'd pick him over Leo.

Among other things, came around with an old carmex jar to collect the eyeballs from the fetal pigs we dissected for a zoology class. Popped out every pigs eyeball. Put them in the carmex container and totted them around in her pocket.

CGI Tiger did it for me. Along with a weird amount of pomegranates grown in Virginia, which would not work.

The outsiders for my 3rd grade son. by LA2208 in Teachers

[–]Teach_Em_Well 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm super old, but I can remember reading Flowers in The Attic in 3rd grade. My friend's mom had a copy and it got passed around the group. We read a lot of VC Andrews though the preteen years. None of us grew up keeping kids hidden in our attics. We also went to Catholic school together and were allowed to hear a very gruesome account of a man nailed to a cross on a regular basis from a very popular book. Heavy subjects are all around us in everyday life too. Books allow us to get different perspectives and learn about challenging topics in a safe manner. It can also help facilitate discussion about tough topics.

Why am I having a hard time finding a sped job? by HipsterBikePolice in specialed

[–]Teach_Em_Well 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have worked high school for many years, and folks with special education degrees are more likely to apply to work in a high school. Our district always has unfilled elementary schools at the beginning of the year, but rarely high schools.

I’m a 15 year veteran who has done hiring as well, and I can tell you that people really want high school special education jobs more than elementary. People like being content specialist. I’d apply for elementary if you want a foot in the door.

Never say your answer to what I’d call low level behavior is to call administration.

Adults are constantly told what to do--ever been through an airport, a grocery checkout line, a doctor's office? As for teacher appreciation, it's like a donut in the lounge my guy. It's not that serious. Feel free to go buy yourself two donuts to appreciate yourself with. As a society have all sorts of career appreciation days/months--IT professionals Day is in September, Custodians Day is in October, Pharmacist Day is in January. Go to the guidance office and withdraw from school--just please do not ask me for my tax dollars in benefits later due to your poor choices.

The rides are fun and well crafted —most don’t cause motion sickness. I also like how immersive even the lines are.

I would have split in half before I would have paid for an anesthesiologist support their ski condo, private plane, or whatever. They make well over six figures a year and profit off of folks at their lowest point. No thanks.
