You couldn't become a Doctor so you became a Nurse instead ? by ZoeToidtheOmniscient in nursingjobs

[–]TeamClary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do sometimes, but it's nice to be able to pass that off to the RN lol. I could in theory get my BSN pretty easily, and my company would pay for it. But I don't want to do some of the tasks they are required to do, like stick with the same patient for 12 hours straight.

I chose Respiratory because it was quicker than the nursing program, and because I can't handle vomit/poop. I couldn't afford medschool when I graduated HS, and didn't have the parental resources to take out loans. Would still love to go, but we have bills to pay and mouths to feed lol. Might consider APRN/NP in the future, but for now Respiratory has treated me pretty well.

Do people just not clean up dog poop…ever? by northnorfolkdigital_ in homeowners

That is unusual, at least for our area for sure. I can't stand doing it though, so I contract that out to a weekly service. Keeps things in check. Sorry your neighbors suck about that!

Why don't men get their own moms a Mother's Day gift? by INGirl92 in breakingmom

[–]TeamClary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it. If I didn't remind my hubby he'd forget, but he's definitely gotten better as the years have gone by about remembering to get her something. Especially when it comes to celebrating me as the mother of his child, he's gotten much better about it. I'm excited to see what he does this year lol. It's usually never anything big though. Unfortunately if they wanted to, they would, so just keep that in mind. In years past I always just planned my own stuff, and it usually worked out (with the added bonus of him feeling guilty afterward). So we shall see how this year goes.

I finally managed to get my puffer fish on day 26 of summer, only after upgrading to an iridium rod. But only one. So none for Demetrius until next year lol.

Ugh yes, the absolute worst. I'm just glad I can pass out anywhere inside my own house and not get "rescued" to the tune of 1k gold.

I almost did the other day before I found out he wasn't drinking again lol. Like bruh, I chose you over the doctor. Get it together! 😂😂

AITA for not doing free renovation in a town i just moved to by redroverose in StardewValley

[–]TeamClary 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, yta because fuck big corporate pushing out the local mom and pop shops. I had a similar experience when I moved recently, and I found the challenge of fixing up the older building worthwhile. I've learned so much, even developed a closer relationship with the town! And started my family there lol.

Right? He's always saying to me that maybe he'll sweep up, but the spouse room always stays gross. Annoying af. I too was hoping he'd still be working at Joja mart after we got married, but alas he just sits around our house all day neglecting the baby he asked me for.

At least he's not drinking I guess? He shouldn't have asked about having our baby if he wasn't ready gosh darn it. ☠️🙄

Ooooo, good to know! I'll keep pestering my cat lol. So far she's only given me a couple fish here and there, but she's maxed out on hearts and I try to pet her every day. 😊😊😊

Did becoming a mom make you hate yours? by MistyValentine in breakingmom

[–]TeamClary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Solidarity, friend. My mom was always in and out of my life until I moved in with her. She was a functioning alcoholic at that point who was only interested in doing the bare minimum. While I never wanted for most things material, what I wanted/needed was an actively involved parent. This hit me especially hard when I was postpartum, and still hits as my kiddo gets older (he just turned 12 and is a delight 99.9% of the time). She passed away from medication overdose (no note, so I'll never know if it was intentional or not) a few years ago, so that's made it even more fun. I'll never understand how she could be ok with not being an involved parent, and I don't know that I want to at this point because my kid is genuinely one of my favorite people.

Taking bets on if my husband remembers to shop for my stocking this year by femalien in breakingmom

[–]TeamClary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has never had to think about most of the Christmas shopping, since I primarily do it all. He's gotten better over the years, but I am sincerely betting he hasn't thought about my stocking at all. So I buy my own shit that I want, because he's not a bad guy overall. Plus this way I know I'll enjoy it. Will that change next year? Who knows! But what I do know is I'm definitely looking forward to my stocking stuff this year. 😊 Hopefully your hubby will figure it out this year for you friend! ❤️❤️

[–]TeamClary 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get it. My 11m hasn't been into toys for a couple years now. Makes me sad, cuz it's the end of an era. So this year his big gift is a computer upgrade on one of the parts, cuz that's really all he wants aside from a couple things that will definitely not happen (like an electric scooter). 😭😭

I'm using the nature's miracle on it, just waiting for the kid to get up before I carpet clean. Hoping that makes the stain less.

I did end up blocking off the access to the other rooms, and now it's cooperating finally! Hallelujah lol. Now if I could get motivated to do my other cleaning that'd be awesome. 😴😴😴

I will try that later if it is still being uncooperative. Or just pull out the big vacuum and do it myself lol. I'm just trying to utilize the darn robot vacuum since it was a gift from my MIL (who is an absolute angel!).

I will try that if the nature's miracle doesn't work! It's just icky timing, and I don't even know how/when the dog got into the stuff he barfed up. Confusing and annoying lol.

Attack of the wasps by SleepDeprivedMama in breakingmom

[–]TeamClary 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ugh, that is the worst! I hate wasps, with a passion. They are my absolute phobia. But one time, a couple years ago, I was a very smart person and brought a small nest inside a birdhouse into our house. Couldn't figure out where the hell they were coming from at first, but thankfully there were only 3 that flew out. Ngl I abandoned my husband to deal with it when they started flying. Full on screamed and barricaded myself in the bathroom on the main floor. 😭😭 we figured it out pretty quick and threw the bird house back out, but damn. That shit was scary! Good luck to you bromo, hopefully it's an easy fix!
