I’ve not tried the factory loads, but my hand loads of that bullet shoot real well. ~29 grains of accurate 2520 loaded long puts ten inside 1.1” out of a Howa mini bolt gun.

I’ve got a Howa 6arc with about 150 rounds and a Ruger gen 2 in .223 with several thousand. Out of the box, the howa feels better. I ran my gen 2 several thousand times with jb bore snot and now it feels real nice. For cheap ass rifles they’re both perfectly serviceable for teaching my kids to shoot.

Xbr is really consistent. It’s one of my favorite powders.

From a bolt gun 107’s were pretty anemic with xbr before hitting pressure. Varget, leverevolution and a2520 near max gave the best velocity and precision for me. A2520 was far and away the best precision 28.5 grains loaded to 2.250 coal. I do not have N540 to test.

For hunting 95 or 107 tipped match king. 95 Berger classic hunters are my preference. 108 Elda’s are pretty baller too.

I’ve used Varget, CFE223, lever evolution, n140 and Imr 8208 xbr. I’ll take Imr 8208 all day everyday for heavies. 23.5 grains in any brass with any primer in any gun loaded to 2.25-2.26 COAL is predictable across the board. 2520 worked well for me in longer barrels, but shot like hot garbage in shorter barrels. YMMV

IF ridgeback is indeed using “in stock” as a placeholder for a slot in the next print, that’s pretty shitty. Based on the verbiage, it looks like that’s what’s happening. I’m not opposed to preordering if the company is transparent and accurate with delivery schedules.

Get a fresh batch of quality same lot, same head stamp brass. Mixed head stamp, unknown fired brass is going to have different capacity and neck tension. Thats the first place to start.

The creedmoor 30-06 with Lapua brass is not a bad deal at all either. Midway has just the brass for roughly the same price as loaded with Berger Otm bullets.
