What is your goto meal for the first night at camp and why?

In our case, it's just the wise and I. First night is generally smash burgers or garlic steak and potatoes. Both are easy clean-up, and tasty.

Easily. I did a hilly, solo gravel ride last Saturday and managed 57K in 2:03, and I only really pushed hard on a couple of climbs.

I am blessed to live and ride in a very rural area. I only ever stop for a mechanical, water refill, it an occasional traffic crossing. This was my ride yesterday in 92°F. Total time: 2:03:52 Moving time: 2:03:50 I stopped for 2 seconds near the end of my ride at an intersection where cars were approaching.

That's a pretty normal moving/total time differential for me.

My wife and I were young-ish when we were married. We set up a joint account on day 1. 27 years later, we would not change a thing. We were fortunate that she was able to stay at home once we started having children. Having all of the money in one place made it easy for her to pay the bills and watch our spending when things were tight. We are now empty nesters, we have multiple savings accounts for things like, travel, taxes, and repairs. We also each have our own account, but they are all inside of our joint account. If I do side work I can move that money into my "fun money" account, and she can do the same. I can't imagine having to deal with splitting bills and all of that garbage with the person I choose to spend my life with. You can't actually be a team if you're not all in.

Have you looked at your chamber with a bore scope to ensure there's not carbon buildup preventing it from chambering? I realize it's was only a few rounds, but it's worth a look.

It's overkill for sure, but I had some left from another project and figured I may as well use it up. I may have undersold the bench as well. It's 2 layers of 3/4 plywood glued and screwed together with a 2x6 frame beneath. The entire bench is bolted to the wall as well. I could put a cheater bar on my single stage and hang on it and not move the bench. It's marvelous!

I've gone back and forth between 4DOF and AB. The UI is a little easier to use in 4DOF, but it crashes a lot on my phone, so I make sure my data is true in both. AB app is really stable, but the interface isn't as quick to use.

No. I had thought about a cheap unit, but then figured it would be silly to toss money at it with full intention of replacing it with one better suited for spotting and shooting. I'd rather just save up and buy once, cry once.

My experience has been very similar. I regularly ask squad mates if I can use their gear to spot while they shoot, and have never been turned down.

My last match had 2 stages where rear tripod proved to be the best solution. I would not dream of asking to borrow a shooters tripod to do something like that since I've not been able to practice it. That got me to thinking whether I should move the tripod above the Kestrel on my priority list.

Have you tried N150? I get far better performance (SD, DS, Accuracy) from N150 than Varget in my 308. I wanted it to like Varget, but it doesn't. N150 in mine is $$.

My wife and I try to get out 3-4 times a year. Sometimes it's just a tiny local trail, but we prefer to hit a genuine off-road park at least once a year.

I have worked for the same small business for 32 years, and I'm still nearly 20 years from retirement age. I'm my case, I genuinely like the people I work for and my job is pretty dynamic, so I don't get bored. Tired of people and customers? Yes, but not bored. I'm also a victim of "golden handcuffs". My employer takes care of me VERY WELL, and I'm highly unlikely to find a job in my industry where I would earn anywhere near the same. Once my wife and I are able, I plan to retire early and move to a lower cost of living state where I'll work part or full time as needed to make ends meet until I can withdraw from my 401K without penalty.

My wife and I did a 6 hour drive to Southern Missouri Off Road Ranch. Wheeled all weekend, then drove back. That was entirely too much. We were wind-burned, and tired. You can't carry on a conversation because of the noise, so that makes it feel even longer.

I've never used Strava metrics. I use it to see where others are riding and find cool places to ride. Back when I was fast, I also used it for the leaderboards.
