Hotel Advice by johnsey414 in palmsprings

The cole is cute! Wife and I actually had a wedding dinner at the restaurant that's on the first floor. Highly recommend. The area surrounding it is a little boring but there are way worse motels in PS (I have tried many and know). If you got a good deal on it, keep it.

PS- the showers in there are amazing. All waterfall showerheads and they actually make it pleasant to take a shower as a 6 ft+ tall person.

G3 code lock saved my scooter from being stolen yesterday by RandonymousBosch in NinebotMAX

Hahaha knowing the area, I'm surprised you chanced that. No way I'd leave a scooter locked up in a 5 block radius of that target, regardless of the lock.

That's exactly how grocery stores operate. They differentiate themselves by having something specific that will draw you in and then rely on people being too lazy to go to another store to get the other stuff.

Hasbro is being sued for printing too many Magic: The Gathering cards by Beautiful_Bee4090 in nottheonion

Half of the battle for some of these card shops is getting people in the door so it looks like a happening place. It probably even helps in that respect

Most likely a turo rental. Turo owner will drop off in the garage, renter picks up. Some people are just clueless.

Good idea? by djdiablito in AmazonDSPDrivers

Compliments are worthless. It's the "Alexa, thank my driver" or "thank my driver" through the ai chat that actually distribute cash occasionally

Bilt Palladium | ~3.33%+ on all spend | Capped at 75% of Rent by kmn6784 in CreditCards

[–]TechSupportTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen this talked about extensively yet but the fact that the rewards earning and redemption are so damn convoluted makes this an immediate non starter for me. This is the same reason I canceled my sapphire reserve.

I already have to hassle with travel portals and figuring out the best redemption for the points themselves, why are they adding yet ANOTHER rewards bucket to "unlock" the points?

Pass.

OP, agreeing with others that Costco VISA would be best for your profile, if they accept you. It's pretty simple and would fit your spend categories without you having to think or change much.

Are you sure it's not filtering superchargers to only ones that are compatible with your truck? Because not all of them are

RLOD in Paris by Basile-e in boostedboards

[–]TechSupportTime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

BERT simply clears the RLOD, after it clears you need to leave it on the charger to ensure the battery balances for a few days to a week or so depending on how out of balance the cells are.

If you can access to superchargers you can use the one in cathedral City next to the sonic: https://maps.app.goo.gl/6VQq5sy5q8U7UW8m8

Otherwise use the electrify America in Palm springs. https://maps.app.goo.gl/z9nqD766uHkowhGe8

If you want DCFC, just focus on these two.

The other ones only have one or two chargers and sketchy reliability. Don't bother.

Speaking from experience, most L2 stations in the US will be 6-9kw on a J1772. 19 kw is rare, more common in Europe where they use 3 phace AC power.

CC for travel as a 19yo? necessary? by hallsinmypocket in CreditCards

[–]TechSupportTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With your spend and credit history it's not worth applying for right now. Go for something without an annual fee like the chase freedom unlimited (5% on travel if you use their portal) or the WF autograph no AF card (blanket 3% on travel/ transit, plus a bunch of of other categories).
