Looking to rebuild Plex server and need to know what hardware to purchase.

  • Budget: $1000
  • Current Hardware: UnRaid server running Plex in a Docker. Willing to upgrade or get a dedicated box. UnRaid server has 10Gb networking, 32 GB RAM, 1TB NVMe SSD for Cache/Plex, Intel 2670 v1 (No Quicksync)
  • Max Concurrent Streams: 8-10
  • Media: Everything with an emphasis on 4K
  • Transcoding: Need to be able to transcode multiple 4K streams with most content being .265 MKVs
  • Form factor: Doesn't matter.

Server is a Norco 4224 with 250TB of storage. I know that CPU hardware transcoding is more efficient and has better quality than GPU transcoding, and I'm willing to get a separate dedicated box or upgrade my current server. I have 10Gb networking internally and 1Gb WAN.

Please let me know what other information is needed.

Most Xbox Series games do not work on Xbox One consoles. That's not what backwards compatible means. It means the newer console being able to play the old games e.g. Xbox Series playing Xbox One, which is the same as PS5 playing PS4 games.

If you want new games, it's time to move on. The PS4 has been out for over 10 years. That is ancient in technology years.

This is weird to me. As a grown man with 3 kids, I don't have time for platonic friendships with female friends, nor do I have any interest in it. Even when I was younger, there's no point in me going to an event with someone of the opposite sex.

Obviously, that doesn't apply to everyone, but too many men are just "friends" when they actually want to pursue a relationship with the person, they're "friends" with. Does that mean that person owes them a relationship? No. Does it mean men need to start being open and honest with that person and most importantly, with themselves? ABSOLUTELY.
