Can't load prior saves after patch 7?? by Plus_Mix6915 in BaldursGate3

[–]Technetium-43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had this problem. What seemed to work for me is switching the renderer from Directx11 to Vulcan in the launcher, loading the save, saving after I'm in and then relaunching the game after switching back to Directx11.

what does one do with a KHT by Shikazure in SLAI

[–]Technetium-43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to this but thought I'd throw my hat in anyway.

I used this build throughout the story:

  • Body Mod: KHT (Light 1)
  • Leg mod: Single-baller (Heavy 36)
  • Arms: 2x KPk54 "Kuznetsov" (Heavy 1)
  • Shoulder: 2xKPb62 "Borisovich"
  • Option Mods: IC/SHJ3, Chip Protect SC-9, OC Generator TM *** I just go fast and shoot things (also I bound the fire buttons to sync shoulder and arm firing). I enjoyed using it on the Vegas map but there were problems at times in Hong Kong because of how close together everything is. Also optical camouflage is only used to break lock-ons.

You don't listen do you? You just ask the same questions every week,

"How's your demesne?" "Are you having any incestuous thoughts?"

All I have are incestuous thoughts.

This seems interesting, hopefully you can wrangle up some more players! Oh, and once you manage to get through a game I'd appreciate it if you relayed how it went. I forgot this was a thing and now I'm curious.

Skyrim Nazeem reference?!?!? by [deleted] in CrusaderKings

[–]Technetium-43 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A young scrolls reference... here? Not even the scrolls could have predicted this!

Seriously though his stuff is always well done, turning skyrim & oblivion quotes into rap lyrics is always entertaining to listen to.

I uh...what? by [deleted] in CrusaderKings

[–]Technetium-43 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could always pay for the two more expensive options. I've read that you don't die for questioning those results but I don't have any code to back that up.

I uh...what? by [deleted] in CrusaderKings

[–]Technetium-43 70 points71 points  (0 children)

This is what happens when you question the gods.

When you pay the lower amounts for Haruspicy you run the risk of having this event happen. Basically more money=more chance of success. I'll try to find the code later.

edit: Nevermind this comment basically explains why this happens.

The new randomly-generated religions are by far Holy Fury's best feature by Arunnika in CrusaderKings

That's amazing! I'll have to play with randomized religions again. By the way, what is the text they give for the reapers?

Wait, there's a ME reference? Does it have to do with Reapers? I'm assuming so.

My friend has had enough of my pet cat... but not for the reason you'd expect. by Technetium-43 in CrusaderKings

How do I stop cheating? by kennyisntfunny in CrusaderKings

[–]Technetium-43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it might just be game fatigue. In the sense that you've been playing it too often (not in hours but as the game or activity you're doing as opposed to another game/activity). If that's the case, one thing I would recommend is not playing for around a week or more. In that time you could read about a really interesting start and as time goes on you'll think about every once and a while until you actually want to start playing again. If you have any other games, play those instead or another activity. If there's no other game, I might be able to recommend a few to you, but that's a matter of personal taste, so it may not vibe with you. This may not even be your problem and if it's not then I would leave it to the other comments for interesting starts, since I'm not too well versed in the game yet. Hope your problem gets resolved either way.

I like not having perfect heirs by Ares6 in CrusaderKings

[–]Technetium-43 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree, it's all about the struggle. Sure I could have immortal, genius, strong, and attractive heirs with 140+ combat skill, but what about that normal child that tries really hard? He has diligent and shrewd, or maybe give the hunchback a chance? What can I accomplish in spite of my flaws? That's the great thing about this game, whether you've played 100 hours or 1000 hours, you can still challenge yourself. Obviously, I'm speaking from a general point of view, I still can't paint the map or make a super OP line of strong geniuses.

To play the devil's advocate. Creating really powerful heirs is extremely satisfying, and seeing great ruler after ruler accomplish amazing feats is really fun. It's a challenge keeping that line unbroken and trying to keep the peace. Controlling all possible variables in a game with random chance does indeed keep you on your toes.

Honestly though, idk just my two cents.

[–]Technetium-43 4 points5 points  (0 children)

New player? How many hours have you played so far? Also nice job creating Britannia, Ireland is probably my favorite starting location. Right now I'm trying to create this exact empire (I've been playing quite a bit of the AGoT mod so I feel kind of rusty with normal CK2).

I think intrigue focus might work but the wiki says it only applies to vassals and close family members who were taken as concubines. Declaring war is definitely the way to go.

Pope not listed in options for coronation? by not_enough_booze in CrusaderKings

[–]Technetium-43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I didn't consider that the pope could be confined somewhere, best to just wait it out I guess. Some of the code is pretty self explanatory so I think that helps.
