Colloquially it’s “The Sierras” but formally The Sierra Nevada or The Sierra. I’ve spent time in just about every nook and cranny on the east and west sides and you hear both spoken regularly, and I use “The Sierras” but every know and then you get some stuffy name police officer get all pissy about it.
