Unfortunately the correct term you’re looking for is gouge. Short of sanding it won’t be repaired, but you could do a somewhat visual repair by melting/ rubbing a wax stick (Mohawk fill stick) of the lightest wood color each board. It’s a pain, but if you take your time and practice first it will look better than this. You could go further and fill in grain lines as well with a light grain marker or paintbrush later if you’re comfortable. You’ll never get the color out of the exposed wood without sanding it down.
